Well like I say I’m one of least abusive posters on here so it’s not something I need to worry about.
Only time I will give it out is usually in retaliation which usually ends up with protagonist getting themselves in a state.
Where did @fyl2u 'abuse' you before you childishly called him a blouse?:rolleyes:

Sometimes you start off slowly with small trolling comments like this and then seem to bring more upon yourself as the conversation develops. You oddly seem to thrive in it though as others react to you and now you give the impression you wear it as a badge of honour

You also mention similar to the "respond in kind" shite Reiver also says. No wonder you both dislike each other as it's would just be a chain reaction even after one of you starts by saying "Hello, nice day isn't it?":lol:

Yet you have spent the best part of 2 days giving it the "I told you so" posts.

As I said previously, having a thick skin and constantly referring to things you may have got right is not really helping the board
You obviously just didn’t see (conveniently) the many posts aimed at me when the companies house thing was released.

As I constantly tell you it works both ways and I absolutely get that. It’s time you learned it as well,

Blouse is hardly abusing really is it. Unless of course you just happen to be a colossal blouse of course.

No trolling comments just my opinions that may not suit the idyllic view people want to see of all things Sunderland.

If people choose to see it as trolling it’s not something that’s going to worry me in the slightest. I couldn’t be more comfortable with my opinions.

How did not see them? I saw them and saw you consistently from then onwards give it the I told you so in every post.

What exactly are you going to teach me? I have already pointed out that to some the language used can be considered offensive or in the care condescending.

As Roger has asked, can we all tone it down for the good of the board

It's a Sunderland message board. What else would you expect? Don't take snowflake levels any higher. Sunderland win, most mag posters don't post. Sunderland lose, or bad news about the club, and the buggers come out of the woodwork from everywhere. That's a fact, and that will of course wind any Sunderland fan up. The same way it would on one of your boards, i suspect. I wouldn't lower myself to find out tbh.
This is a cracking message board, but it has gone downhill with too many WUMS and Mags. That has stopped people posting. Numbers maybe up from before, but i mean decent posters are now less inclined to post than before. That's a shame.
If your starting position is you don't want mags on here then I'm guessing if you could get rid then you'd then want everyone who doesn't agree with your view on Sunderland removed as well.

Having a different viewpoint is healthy for discussion.

People aren't choosing to see it as trolling because it is trolling as there was no need at all for that comment yet you chose to call him a blouse when you could have said something completely different if you didn't agree with him. This is how trolling starts as some may come back and call you an f***ing arsehole and it then escalates. This is probably the reason why you reckon you get more abuse than you give when you start of with shite like that as you reckon it's OK

The rules are clear in case you didn't notice but how far do the mods allow someone to go? Are you saying it's OK for someone to call you a f***ing arsehole as you personally aren't bothered about it so others should accept the same?

If someone calls me that then they can accept same or similar back absolutely. Reap what you sow.

I’d never start by calling someone that though.

Not when most of the mags input is to gloat / take the piss. Great banter in normal life, but forums fr specific clubs should not include wind ups. As i said earlier, are SAFC fans welcomed on the NUFC boards?

Can you not see that by rising above it you become the better person.

Comments like "you reap what you sow" from an established poster won't help the newer ones. They just see an agressive tone

Well then they need to learn, that’s not just on here but life in general. You have a go at someone then expect some back. That’s just the way it is.
Majority of time I do rise above it but I’m also clever enough to know which ones will get all abusing then fall to pieces when they get some back. Quite amusing watching them attempt to wind someone up and only succeed in winding themselves up.

I'm with chunk on this one.

What you've just described is almost a perfect summation of sly wummery.

In the light of the gaffer's clearly exasperated opening post you may wish to reconsider your modus operandi.

On a thread about people wrapped up in their own little worlds and going off topic and away from football.

Your contribution is to continue to call people names and tell everyone you're a victim?
Again?

No it isn’t. If someone has a go then they deserve everything they get. If they can’t handle it don’t have a go in first place. It really couldn’t be simpler.

He who cast the first stone.......

Who have I called names and where have I played the victim? I couldn’t care less man.

Victim ffs 😁

Mate, come on surely you can see WE ALL have to rise above it and point out others that may need to think about what they post

Can the mods simply ban anyone who engages in ad hominem attacks on either another poster or persons at SAFC?

The short answer is yes.

In the past we have perhaps been too lenient.

When this previous leniency coincided with a good percentage of posters collectively became psycho killers regarding the takeover/wums/itks/talk ins/Ross/Donald/Methven/club announcements and just about anything else you could think of, then it became an almost perfect storm and everything turned to shit.
