It sounds as though they are still dismissing the need for strength, pace and creativity in the midfield. Mind , the way the oppos players ran off the back of Grant yesterday, we may need another one in there too.

This is one of the main reasons why we struggle to kill teams off, we simply don't have enough players that can create and convert chances.

I worry about relying too much on the midfield as well. You have missed our top scorer off your list though.

nit writing the lad off yet but he's had 4 poor games and when he gets back to his position as a right back, we can judge him properly

I agree generally that we can be too accepting however, we are in league one and there are far worse players than him at this level.

We do, we definitely do.

But then McLaughlin was brought in to be an improvement on Matthews and Love on the other side of the defence. I believe that it might be reasonable to think that he will be.

His stint as left-back will hopefully be short lived and he can move across to the right to show what he can do in his real position.

I'm very happy to accept what he has said in the podcast because if he was lying, it would come out making him look a right dick.

I'm sure you are and I'm happy to accept it on face value as well (although it's easier for me to accept because it fits with my line of thoughts on the matter). It just doesn't prove anything whatsoever let alone 100%.
