Honeyman to Hull?

who aid it was easily?

i reckon JR made him capatian to keep him here last year..didnt want to lose a player that had contributed so many goals in the championship, and thought the fans would back a local player...they dont.
To be honest if that was the reason for giving someone the captaincy it reflects even more badly on the manager

jason steele isnt playing premie er league football..he plays in whatever league brightons reserves play in..

He’s not. He has never played a game of Premier League Football.

He played one first team game last season, which was in the FA cup.

So what would you say Jason Steele's true level is?
I don't recall posters here using Brighton buying him from us as proof he was actually a top keeper and not rubbish as posted on here.

steele was so bad for us its hard to know...he failed with us inthe champo and has failed to play in the league for brighton..so the implication is his level is lower than championsip..

honeyman was quite successful for us in the championship..playing regualrly (as opposed to steele who was dropped) and scoring a bunch of goals..

He was absolutely terrible, one of the poorer players we had in a f***ing awful team. A few goals did nothing to mask that

There was me thinking we finished rock bottom!

Just think of the fun if he does go there, every time he scores there'll be about 10 threads banging on about how awesome he is.
Because regardless of how ineffectual he can be in games, he's always capable of bagging the odd goal.

so ineffecual championship teams have wanted him for a year..I told you people during the season he would be inthe championship...scoring goals is a valuable commdity..the fact he did it in a mi=onumentally shit team enhances the value, not dimisnishes it..

in no way was he one of the poorer..everyone who played in goal..everyone who played up front except grabban were worse than him for a start..

When you make a player the captain but are prepared to offload him so easily it makes you wonder what the strategy is
Perhaps you already knew he was going and was a "temporary" appointment until the end of the window when you could re-assess depending who you'd got in

You don't give the captaincy of the team or club just to keep hold of a player (that would include more money for the role too) Ross should know better than that, you give it because the player chosen is the best one to bring everyone together...I never once saw Honeyman do that on the pitch, it was either Cattermole or Power when they played.. I've posted before that I've watched this lad come through the ranks and at no stage should he ever be picked to Captain a side. I've seen him ,with a few more exceptions (Asoro for one) who regularly disappeared during a game when a real Captain would have grabbed the team by the scruff of the neck and led from the front. I ask anyone on here to name a game where Honeyman did exactly that.? Just one.

You people again. Can you just fuck off with this shit please.

Aye you're right, 7 goals from midfield that season in the championship, in a relegated team, was a piss poor return.
Whilst he got a canny return they masked a lot of piss poor performances. Games just pass him by.
not good enough for league one apparenly but signed to a champo club..
So did Billy Jones when he left us. I'm assuming you think he was good enough?
