This would be brilliant news.

We are a better team without trying to shoehorn him into it and the fact he was captain meant he was given far too long a leash and basically unstoppable.

Also, before people start with the “he cares” stuff, don’t forget that he and his agent were trying to engineer a move last summer and the only reason he stayed is because he had to due to no other club being so stupid as to want him at the time.

He’d have fucked us off immediately if he’d had half a chance.

Considering he's going to a championship club...

1. We do not value our own players, other teams in higher divisions see something we don't.

2. We do not 'go the extra mile' to look after our own academy players, who *we* have deemed good enough to be club captain. (Hint- does this mean we have no idea if players are good enough, or is it just our judgement is shite..)
