Zenden and Steed had some touch. Physically not brilliant.

I loved watching Sess in his pomp. Tricky little fucker. Shame he came out saying he regretted coming here.

Wouldn’t any player, who wasn’t a MLF? I agree he shouldn’t have come out and said it though.

Michael Bridges by a mile. I would have played him and Super Kev and kept Sir Niall as the plan B, but instead we sold him to Leeds

I thought it was WBA he regretted gan to not here

Probably both...

He said he should have waited longer for a better club than us, and we were a bad choice.

Imagine there’s a good few who aren’t MLF’s who don’t regret coming here. Anton Ferdinand seems to keep an eye on us, for one.

Most naturally talented player you’ve seen play for Sunderland?

If not then who?

Martin Smith? Chris Waddle? Julio Arca? Lee Cattermole?

Steed for me, Brady was unreal when he burst on the scene like. Remember that West Ham game like it was yesterday, it went to shite in typical SAFC fashion though.
Do you remember Trelford Mills refereeing that day? The game finished at 501pm as he did his utmost to help West Ham get an equaliser

Shackleton end of thread
Did you see him play? Wish he’d come along later.

My uncle played for Lincoln City and I asked him about Shackleton. He just went quiet and glazed over as if thrilling back in awe. Then he said “you just couldn’t get the f***ing ball off him!!”
