Malbranque or Bridges.
Most naturally talented player you’ve seen play for Sunderland?
If not then who?
Martin Smith? Chris Waddle? Julio Arca? Lee Cattermole?
Niall Quinn
This. Totally nuts what he could do.Frank Worthington
“Mickey stickman” iirc he left for £5M which was a large fee at the time. Should Reid have played bridges instead of Quinn?I saw Bridges a lot in his early stages, was brilliant in a youth tournament, the watched him in the reserves, very very good player, injuries knacked him. Pity his agent was a twat and he left us for dirty leeds

He kept the ball brilliantly, but best of all I had the chance to offer my appreciation when he left the pitch at the 60 minutes mark each week to go for a smoke.Malbranque skills and control were sublime. But he had the pace of a milk float. Absolutely love him though.
Was the young lad that stole stuff not Thomas Butler? The ones that spring to mind are Brady, Smith and Thornton but in reality the likes of Sessegnon were probably better. The young lad that stole stuff from the changing room was highly rated too, can't for the life of me remember his name.
And Bridges- he was genuinely gifted pre injury and even when he came back, a shadow of himself, he still had a touch of class with amazing movement.
Same here, the people I know who say they saw him play said he was better than Gazza, one lad even described him as the best player he ever saw. Lad was badly let down by those around him from what I gather. That's him! Never saw him play but he was supposed to be super talented.
