Winning goal should have been disallowed

Both teams played very poorly let's face it, only real moment of quality was the flick that played in Taylor who crossed for their goal, it was a lovely touch.

I'm fairly certain we would have won in extra time as there back 4 looked out on their feet from 80 minutes onward.

Our entire team have lookes out on their feet for about a month though

We did deserve to lose. We were gifted a goal. Mustered the square root of fuck all. Could have played another 90 minutes and not score. Charlton were bad, we were so much worse

Exactly this. Even if the goal was disallowed we would have still had extra time to play and we wouldn't have scored then either (imo). We looked knackered and had absolutely no ideas. Our only hope would have been penalties and I still wouldn't have been confident about them. We played shit & no matter and no matter how much we moan about refereeing decisions it's not going to change the fact we barely made a decent chance in the whole game. Good luck to Charlton, they were better than us over the season and on the day.

Their player is climbing all over Oviedo and he is not able to jump allowing the Second Charlton player a clear vision of the flight of the ball to get his head on it. The move started with a free kick against Ozturk for putting arms on their player and any consistency would have resulted in a free kick to Oviedo.

Oviedo was furious .

I dont buy the argument we were just not good enough on the day, as both teams were nervous and we edged, possession, shots, corners and shots on target. We did not deserve to lose that game.

Codswallop we were f***ing shite

We were f***ing gash on the day. 1 real attempt on goal sums it up. Not good enough and we didn't turn up.

Leadbitter was having a right go at O9 after their winner - I couldn’t work it out at the time and the only thing I can think of is that he thought O9 should have prevented them taking the quick free kick, that caught us napping a bit.

We created little and the inevitable happened. It is not even the fact that we aren’t promoted that I find gutting - I just wanted to win at Wembley and share the moment with my lad - the same way I shared the moment in 1973 with my dad - just f***ing once.

If karma is real then someone did something pretty shitty after 1973.

Ref & his assistants were poor, no question. But they're human & dont have the benefit of slow motion replays. Ref is part of the field of play & for good or bad we have to accept what comes with it. That said, were they as poor as our team on the day?
I was at the game and didn't get any replays and I was further away yet I didn't miss the obvious

Did they challenge ours?

They had two shots on target and scored with both.
Then you have just answered your own question yes they had two on target and they went in.

First goal was offside. Not when the ball was played in but about three seconds before there were two players, (including the scorer), who were offside. Flag should have been up, there and then.
Second phase shite stopped that. For me if you are offside what ever phase then you should be off full stop.

It was a fairly even game over the 90 minutes, but they held more threat going forwards in my opinion. Might be harsh, but possibly a more agile player or someone who is comfortable with the on going to his left side, might have cleared the winning goal. Not sure Flannagan sorted his feet or body out sharp enough.

They scored three goals and we didn’t score any. Stats are a load of bollocks.

Sorry but you can't have a midfield that lack mobility and passing ability especially against ball playing teams we win the ball we give it away . Their was little between the teams and yet again we end up talking about the poor standard of consistent refereeing , the challenge on O'Nien bordering on an assault = dropped ball . To say the least it was a niggly competitive match where unfortunately the referee penalised us and flourished yellow cards they walked away unpunished.
