Game of Thrones season 8

Eh? It's North of the other six kingdoms. North of The Neck.
If you're not part of the kingdom anymore, then you're not "the north".

That's like saying Scotland is "The North" of the UK.
But if Scotland left the UK, then it wouldn't be "The North" anymore, it would just be its own state.

As pointed out, the free folk called "The North", "The South".

This. He was undone by his own scheming.
How any fan of the show didn't enjoy that i'll never know mate. Proper iconic scene.

It's still north tho.

It snowed a tad when Jaime pissed off North at the end of series 7. Nee snow thereafter. I don't think it does snow there an awful lot. What we saw in the last two episodes was ash.
Figured the snow was caused from the heat of dragons fire, causing the weather to change etc...
It looked cool and that's the important thing!

I don't think they bottled it, I think they fucked it with the shorter seasons they decided to impose on themselves.

There was 3 episodes worth of plot in the finale.
Yes that's true, is infuriating knowing they rushed it for the Star Wars gig (I don't even like Star Wars )

Before this season in my head I thought a Hound Vs The Mountain face-off would be a big set piece similar to the Oberyn Martell V Mountain bit, but again was rushed and felt underwhelming, infact biggest surprise for me was the Qyburn sudden death, nothing else came out of nowhere, that's a problem I had with lots of it.

On another note, am I the only one that thought that some of the acting was a bit shit this season? Peter Dinklage in particular, didn't convince me at all in any of his sad/emotional scenes. Or his big "make Bran King" speech, but that might have been the shit script.

Tyrion has been shite for a few seasons now

The North was it's own state. It was a constituent region of the Seven Kingdoms. It's called The North. Just as The Vale is The Vale. The Reach is The Reach. etc etc

See I thought that was good. Killed by the monster he created.

A lot of the disappointment im seeing from fanboys/fangirls who wanted some fairytale ending with Arya or Sansa on the throne.
A lot of the disappointment is from people being underwhelmed, not by the ending but how it was played out. It was like doing a really good history report for school and realising it is 7:30pm and the match is on telly at 7:45pm so you rush the last few months of World War 2 and just say 'The Allies defeated the Nazi at D-Day and the Russians pushed the Nazi back from the Eastern front and won. Hitler killed himself and Germany surrendered. The End.'

After the sacking of King's Landing and Dany becoming Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, you could at least stretch the rest of the season by at least 3 episodes. But we went from Dany winning the battle to Jon killing her to Bran being named King and Sansa declaring the North independent in the space of 10mins.

I think the only people that are happy are the uber fans who don't criticise anything about the show.
