You’d be surprised the number of people I know who say the same thing then they disappear never to be seen again. Especially if you lacking in other social opportunities at present.

Only since you arrived
Its a good distraction though in these early tough days for him ,someone who thinks something or you etc etc .I think I jumped in too early but it was just messages and stuff then just as she was getting serious I knew it wasn't for me . Always assumed single people just gave up trying and would jump at the chance of a lass .I love my single life

People also don’t appreciate how much more expensive it is to be single. Keep all your bills the same and remove one salary. That puts a dent in your socialising fund.

That's a big factor after a split and even stopping a split happening . I've always been canny with finances and got myself in a nice position .Very eligible :lol:

Haway man soft lad, I haven't played for 2 years since turning 50, it's just a run out, bnot qualifying for the world cup.
So far we have 6.

It would be great to have a game on Sunday from 14:00 till 15:00

@chopsfc007 fancy it?

The last time I had a kick about I ended up with a slipped disc, nerve damage a limp for 5 months and still have numb toes 6 years later. A man has to know his own limitations.
Can’t even have a drink anyway I’m on night shift that date.

Get a dog. Join training classes for agility, flyball and shit.

Get on match and eharmony. tinder if you are just after rough slappers for short term.

Start running. Join a running club, someone will be doing a couch to 5k or even 3k somewhere near you.

Or just accept you're gonna be alone and develop yourself a gimmick. Mebees hoy masses of xmas lights all over up your (parents) house and leave them on all year. Or always wear fancy dress when you go out. Rollerskate everywhere? If you're gonna be alone you might as well steer into it and make it because of something that people will talk about. (Dont go with riding a shetland pony wearing full foxhunting outfit, thats my thing)

Running club is a great idea, as is 5 aside. Go to the local leisure centre and put your name down.

It's really hard being on your own after a while with a lass. I sank into a bit of a depressive state, even worse as I wasn't really an outgoing person.

Yeah, I'm a fairly a-social person and went to school then uni away and worked all over the place so found myself in a similar situation to the OP on coming home for keeps where I knew noone my age.

I think men especially are taught that the only thing potentially worse than being a 'big enough loser to have no mates' is admitting you have no mates, its not a fault, and going to find some. Its ingrained in us from school and is super damaging.
