Weight Loss 2019

Well here goes, I've just got on the scales and I'm 12 stone 4 pounds which is the heaviest I've been for about 5 years and unfortunately I'm not 7 foot tall. It's just crept on a pound at a time so this year I'm going to do something about it.

It's not good for my arthritis to carry extra weight and due to my medical stuff I can't do much exercise but I'm still determined.

Going to aim for half a stone at a time and be 11 stone by the end of the year which allows for illness etc when it all goes to pot.

Good luck everyone.

Not bothered about the actual weight in numbers, more just how i look/feel. Need to lose weight but not a specific target, just when i feel/look better. Its needed from a health point of view but also going on holiday later in the year and it'll be hot with a lot of walking so need to be able to keep up.

GF has started already, but im not starting just yet, enjoying a final couple of weeks finishing the sweets etc from Christmas, i wouldn't be able to resist with them lying around so thought best just waiting a couple weeks before eating better and starting more exercise

14 stone 11 after a horrific couple of weeks. Been going to the gym as well through that time but not as much as I would liked. Started to get really bad heart burn which is usually an indication of weight piling on. Hoping to be under 14 stone by end of February, into the 12s by August and less than 20% bf

I joined slimming world 2 weeks before Christmas. Was half a pound short of 18 clem
Got weighed last night and 13.5 pounds lost in 5 weeks. I put a couple back on Christmas week anarl
Hoping to get to 14 Stone by Christmas

Weighed yesterday and was 2.6lb down since Jan 1 but put a wee bit on today. Got a weekend of my brother visiting so it’s going to be messy. But it’s a marathon not a sprint. ;)

Been on SMB for a year or more and completely forgot my only small real Sunderland link (as I am an oppo fan who stuck around) is a bloke called Richie Howey who runs a health and weight loss thing on FB and is from up your way.

I know someone who knows him well and recommended it to me around 6 or 7 years ago. He, along with his outrageously good looking girlfriend, started just offering advice to people, then he started getting busy and he was still dishing out free food plans, putting up videos etc. In the end he got so busy he started charging for some personalised stuff but a lot of what he does is still free. He really does know what he is talking about and I am told he is a really top bloke too.

Check him out on FB if you fancy it under teamrhfitness

Weight on Monday 7th Jan - 15st 3.5lb
Looking to get down to about 10 1/2st by December, so about 4 1/2st to lose.
Have set my target loss at 66lb (30kg).
Not looking to diet massively just change my lifestyle really - more active and eating healthier.

Had a good first 5 days.
Cut down on my achilles heel - cheese and refined carbs - massively.
Made a big pot of ham and veg soup and been ploughing through that all week.
Porridge and fruit every day and plenty of water.
Not a drop of alcohol. Decided to stay dry until my birthday weekend in 6 weeks time.

No real exercise started yet (been clearing out wardrobes and the loft this week).
Will start walking next week and maybe a 15 minute HIIT every other day.
We'll see!

10.5stone??? That’s schoolboy weight, would hate to be that light!

Family on my Mam's side are naturally very slim. Even with me being overweight now, most of it's situated on my core. My arms, hands and lower legs are still quite skinny.
My natural shape (minus the height) is akin to Peter Crouch!

Anyone else tracking macros? Started doing this the last week to shift the last stubborn 6pound (dropped 2 1/2stone in 2018) and I must say it’s shocked me as I thought my diet was on point

I want to shift 13kgs. Doing a dry January to kick off. 1kg gone so far.

I dropped 16kg over the course of last year bud so it’s very doable!!! Keep at it

Can I play?!

For anyone who follows the depression thread, you'll know I've been really poorly with something called PMDD. It's female hormones going out of control causing severe PMS for 2-3 weeks every month. That means severe mental health and physical symptoms. Part of that includes binge eating junk food when I'm down which has caused weight to go on. All the first and second line treatments failed, so as a last resort, I had major surgery in December. I had my ovaries (hormone makers) removed so hopefully I'm on the mend now. I do currently feel better than I have done in a long time.

I'm not following a restrictive diet as they don't work for me and I'm not meticulously counting calories as I haven't got the time or patience to track everything. I'm just doing sensible eating - cutting out the crap and having healthy balanced meals with the odd treat thrown in. I'm also going to the gym again and attempting three sessions a week.

I've lost 3lb this week so I'm pleased with that :D
