Durham mags.......

11pm on a Friday night and the Mags, with absolutely nothing better to do, are all over a Sunderland website talking about obsession ...

... you really couldn't make it up, goodnight

Love it when we get called obsessed when the sad bastards turn up for every one of our matches in their "capable of being hidden by a zipped up jacket" shirts.

I wish you were around when the arseholes had us running out the Fulwell and before that having to take our scarves off coming out Fulwell when the twats used to march around the back in hordes looking for trouble in the 80,s...
I was there, every time from being 15 to 22 ish. The mags painted a myth out of those games.

I was there walking across Dame Dot when they broke the police cordon across Wearmouth Bridge and got hit with half a brick in the Roker End when we won 1-0 80/81. Not sure they were Durham Mags. My view is they are are not Geordie's as such they are Maggie's. I served my first year apprenticeship at Swan Hunter when working down A+P. It was great!!

Have you joined this board as an alternative to an "English as a Foreign language" programme?
Don't feel embarresed mate.. its all true ask your granddad, you know the old fella with some common..:)

Dont know who your mates were, we were tight, no one ran we left no one.
like I say mate we didn't have a squad or anything we were just mates and this was new to us at the time with them having a massive squad

..and we were never moved. You had soft as shite mates.

You're not daft mate. You know a huge chunk of your Durham support are only there as they jumped on the Keegan bandwagon.

Keegan came in 92. That's 26 years ago. So at what age does the cut off for bandwagon jumping stop?
Somebody aged 38 might not have been too interested in football at 12 years old but when tyne tees were screening Newcastle matches live in the promotion season of 92/93 they may have developed an interest.
Somebody 50 years of age might be classed as a bandwagon jumper, but really anybody under 40 its hard to say if they just got into following football properly with a relatively successful Newcastle team or if they were a turncoat

Thats a reasonable case. Now, why dont you just leave the site and go to one of the newcastle sites, where the audience will be drooling over your every post. Dont forget to use pictorials and cut out those big word things.
