I’ve had a bit craic recently with the top boyo at Siglion and he put my unease at rest. The Siglion development is deffo happening and sooner than saveseaburn think. Miller Homes is not his bag so he said nowt about it.

Boris you know I got a lot of time for you mate but the highlighted bit is not the line of retorts you should be going down imo. People can still have a opinion even if they don't have means to invest. I have personally been in touch with siglion in regards to wanting to invest in renting business units that they develop. Not got very far atm.

I will reiterate again. I have no issue with more housing but I don't see it as the bees knees that will push the site on. There is plenty of people who live in the vicinity already (it's not like it's a derelict site). Coupled together the the massive increase in footfall last few years makes the arguments that only extra housing will boost the area a bit redundant in my opinion.

Yup. My company being one. I wouldn't say refused though. Just more fallen by the wayside. There's only so many times I can try and chase things up. The other directors, bank manager and accountant are trying us to invest in tyneside instead. I don't want to.
Renting a couple of units is different to developing a 5.8 hectare site. There’s nobody else looking to develop this site for leisure. Having an opinion is fine...asserting that something is commercially viable should have a basis in fact

Obviously another one on the inside. No wonder Sunderland is so screwed up.

Why can't a beautiful location, with a beach, during fine weather, a great attraction for people to travel for a holiday? We are the North East Coast. If it's shite weather we need stuff for families and especially kids to do. An indoor pool would be busy all year round. Visitors when its cold...locals all year round. My kids have to travel to the Haven at Shields to have a swim...Aquatic...2 lanes open a few hours. (I know it differs etc) You can still build good housing all around Seaburn but it still needs a focal point...CAFE DOES NOT = LEISURE

Still though I want the Miller development to go through, because I want....
