Blaming Ellis is a bit Mag-esque

He has invested.

We’ve had brilliant players.

We got to a cup final.

We had 10 years in the PL.

He didn’t leave quickly enough but to blame him solely is insane.

Blame Moyes, Grayson and Coleman.

Blame Byrne and Bain and DiFanti.

But don’t just blame the owner. He had the right intentions IMO.

Over 10 years his investment is nothing exceptional - he will recover a significant sum of that back. He is not a benefactor!

1 cup final appearance and successive relegation battles in 10 years is failure.

He didn't leave quick enough because he had an unrealistic value of the club - he has also run it down to junk level.

Blame the man at the top for making successive wrong strategic appointments.

He wanted to make money and gain the Kudos of running a football club. Nothing really wrong in that but the "right intentions"?

I could go on about his lack of communication, his absences, his judgement, his commitment, his deceit, his failure to invest over the last 3 transfer windows which has led to one relegation and possibly two, but I wont.

Who do you think employed those people such as margy, de fanti? He owns the club how is he not responsible? Why people defend short is beyond me like, crazy.

Definitely think Short is more ambitious than Ashley. He just makes piss poor decisions.
The decisions he made (managerially) were welcomed by fans - only PDC was contentious - the majority thought all others were spot on. MON and Moyes fucked us up.

We also were delighted when we bought f***ing Rodwell.

I agree with a bit of this.
As I’ve said before - manager wise he made decisions we all applauded. And I’m confident if BSA hadn’t gone to England we would be a premier team still.
ES tried.
He was let down by managers and our transfer policy of giving managers millions , then sacking them , then getting a new manager who doesn’t rate the old players and spends millions more on shite - that’s whats fucked us.
Buying high and selling low.
And when he got his man in Moyes, giving him fuck all.

However It’s this season when he realised he had failed properly , and he’s ran away like a coward , and for that I’m disgusted with him.

Cant disagree with any of that, especially the last paragraph. Well said.

I don’t think he is. If the set up at Newcastle had spent money correctly when McClaren was there you could have pushed on massively.

The time to spend money correctly was the summer of 2012 after we had finished fifth. Instead we only brought in Vurnon Anita.

The spending in 2015 was due to nearly getting relegated under Carver the previous season. It is criminal how much Net (Klaxon) McClaren wasted though, I agree.

Agreed, a sustained season on season spend (doesn't need to be shed loads) where you buy one player that will improve you, and in a position you need improving. Has to be better than no spend for window after window then blow a shed load (and the amount we say shed load seems to be the prem norm now). Ashley has definitely been bad at investment, as in doing it wrong, however as a result of him when we went down we could throw 50m at promotion, sissyoko hepled with that (so maybe without exit transfers we wouldn't have! I don't know) but atleast we had some money. These poor fuckers had 1m it's a f***ing joke to be honest, and although it was funny at the start, I aint laughing now, although thats most likely as I am worried about us. But great clubs with great history and big fan base's, saying that fuck the size ofnthe fan base, it's irrelevant. I would be suicidal ifbi was these lot. It's a pisstake of the highest order to be honest. 1m. Jesus wept

So don’t blame the person who has led us to £140 million debt and staring League One in the face? And then when it’s got to this just washed his hands of us? He’s pathetic, from his decision making years ago to his mentality now, ruining a good football club through sheer mismanagement so I think it’s more than fair to blame him.

Fuck off you daft twat.

Can’t believe people are still defending the person who has killed the club.

So two people agree with me.

Some idiots on here.

Ultimately he carries the can, but to put all the blame at his door is insane.

More than enough blame to go around IMO.

Who appointed Byrne, Bain and Di Fanti? And Congerton? And Ryan Sachs?
Who decided to bring a DoF model into the club which was the start of this mess.

The man at the top will live or die by his decisions.

Short is the one to blame

Who bought Bent, Gyan, Johnson, Fletcher, Borini, Sessegnon, Defoe?

Like I say, 10 years unbroken in the PL.

A cup final.

Acted decisvely in the main when he needed to fire people.

Shame it's gone wrong - but to have so much hatred towards him is really a Mag trait when they've spat their dummies out.

It's rubbish now - he's tried to sell - but hasn't found anybody stupid enough to buy us.

Don't really know what more people want?
