I actually agree with all that. Even the managers he's appointed have been met with fans approval.

However he's given up on the club and washed his hands of us so it's time he moved on. The problem is finding someone to take on a club that has made massive losses over the last decade and is sitting on huge debts.

The owner is responsible and should take the blame. He made the decisions and allowed things to happen that got us in this utter shambles

Yours and every other club that goes tits up is a combination of things not one mans. As of the last two years you can place the vast majority of blame at his feet as there is dis-interest and no player funding. But you were fucked long before then.

But you haven’t had a demise.

You have had 2 seasons outside the Premier League and won the Championship both times. We are heading to League One. That is chronic mismanagement for a club our size and it would be for a club your size.

If you really trace it back, the rot as you describe it actually started with Drumaville who started the overpaying as a means of getting a foothold in the premier league.

Shorts errors, albeit well intentioned, were his several attempts to correct this and each failure actually contributing further to the problem. (More players on long contracts who were poor, more manager sackings, confused strategies from DoF 1 to DoF2.
 
He spent his money poorly and put his faith in idiots. Blame is 100% with him, he could have sold up long ago but wanted Pickford and parachute payments.

Yeah but the point still stands (although I agree a hell of allot of the blame goes to Short) he is not solely to blame your demise has been coming for years now and in that time he has backed you.
If we can't blame Ashley for appointing Carver etc then you can't blame Short for backing Poyet etc.

The fact is for you and us and every other club in trouble it's a combination of things not one man.
Personally I don't blame Ashley solely responsible for our troubles, and I don't blame Short for yours.

You are correct but our demise puts Ashley in a far better light. You are lucky to have him compared to Short. You went down and he sanctioned £50M spending which worked.
