I mainly noticed a difference going home last night , from Newcastle - Sunderland , 10min crawl on approach to heworth

Plenty will try. If they fill the pot holes in, the smaller narrower cars might get across that bridge.

got road closed signs at that bridge now for wardley lane , they love to p*ss off motorists. put some concrete bollards there , only someone's shifted em to get thru :lol::lol: you would be pee'd off, if you drive over them pothole's to be met with road closed. must be the increased traffic on that bridge . never a problem for the school run tho.

where bouts did they put the concrete bollards?

on the bridge entrance , would have taken a few lads to shift em (thinking the 4/5 lad's on scramblers) anyway the public are ignoring the road closed signs.

proper blocked of now. no messing now , both side's of bridge blocked wih big concrete bollard thing's, they won't shift em.

when they start building house's down there(on coats etc) something will have to be done with bridge & road

must have been more people brave enough to try out their suspension that i would have thought!

has that been given the go-ahead? i thought there was some bother getting planning? apparently they're trying to get permission to build a shitload of houses at the back of bill quay again - between marian drive & the metro line....

seen one women trying potholes otherday , going right slow . had a line of traffic behind her :D

I've not followed planning application, just seen sign for planning application go up. its next to a land refill

why has that place regressed to nitemarepool? its always backed up to follingsby at rush hour these days!?

councill said them lights would improve traffic flow

i see someone wanted a ind unit there also

Bid to build industrial units behind Travelodge is turned down

A landowner has been refused permission to revamp a disused industrial site because of its feared environmental impact.

Patrick Cleary has been told his plans to develop a slice of Green Belt land behind the Travelodge, at Whitemare Pool, are inappropriate.

Same bunch who have put lights on the roundabout at the Galleries end of the Sunderland/Washington highway. Traffic never used to be that bad, then they put lights in and it queues back for ages. The lights failed for a few weeks and the traffic jams disappeared. Their response was to put the lights back on.

Is the metro parking still open at Heworth, usually park at long stay and get metro over to city centre rather than parking in Newcastle itself, totally forgot on Saturday and ended up parking in Newcastle, £16 for 4 hours parking!

it appears that currently people are just dumping their cars all over the streets near pelaw metro - kirkwood gardens yesterday was a mare.

Through there at c. 8.20 every morning. Crawls along from White Mare Pool to Heworth in about 10 minutes. Normally it takes 5.

Not a single issue with that, like. And with a bit of luck, they design will be bereft of a roundabout ... just sensible lanes / lights etc.

I'm also fairly certain there was nothing accidental about the failure of them either. Those are probably the most inappropriate lights on a roundabout I can think of. The ones up at Mill House are probably the scond worst.

noticed yesterday that they've had to put down concrete bollards across the foot path running up to pelaw metro on the kirkwood gardens side... at first i thought wtf, then noticed the grass was a mass bog of tyre tracks coming from the factory units! i hardly call that a f***ing shortcut for some lazy twunts?!

blocking shortcuts everywhere, put a blockade here and it got shifted so they could squeeze past, so blocked both sides & used these big un's, still see people trying to get thru but they won't shift em
