Sneaking around like a frightened rabbit. Only going into combat in a high-res, cos you’re unsure if you can hold your own.

I've only unlocked Farseer and Elvira Martuuk fully. Was working on Qwent when I ran to join the UA goldrush. The Racing Snake only has the FSD engineered, but it's a beaut. Got optimal mass of 54.60 on my third roll.

FFS! Start working on Tod "The Blaster" McQuinn and Broo Tarquin to get your multicannons and lasers sorted ASAP!

Overcharge your MCs and try to get corrosive and incendiary experimental upgrades.

ALL lasers need to be Efficient.

Money means nowt if your ship can't defend itself. Do the basics with what you have to engineer it to the best it can be then get a bigger ship.

Well bloody well died last night (twice!). First I took on I think it was some gunship or someshite and it beat the snot out of me. Was doing ok then shields dropped and all my modules just failed or turned off!? Noticed later you can buy new items to shield your modules? (new to me..). So anyways, bought my ship back and I'm thinking 500k isn't bad for insurance. Jumps in new ship, flies to res site. Errmmm I've no f***ing shields... wait a second, i've no f***ing lasers....or fuck all. The twatting thing hadn't rebought my modules and equipment.

Lost about 10 mil refitting it out and cost of dying. So back to shitty gear and trying to make up that money I lost. Sick as fuck. Almost told it to fuck off as I've other games I can easily go to. 10 mil to me is quite a bit and will take ages to make back Now sitting about a res site again trying to get a contract done but the pirates are all knocking about in gangs with anacondas and shit and not shooting each other and the way combat is atm I will get twatted if I have a go at a big ship. Was making ok money doing data runs but this one paid 600k for 12 pirates which I thought wouldnt take long, but the fuckers are all ganged up and playing nice guys..

At around the 50-200m credits mark this game can really kick you in the knackers.

A few weeks ago I cocked up selling all my ships to buy a type 9. I had to sell it, re-buy a python and then the python got blown up costing me weeks of grinding in total.

Took me weeks to get the Python back, but I learned a lot trying new things the second time round.

Go to Binnie Market at Watha (9ly away) and buy a Hauler. Stick a Collector Limpet Controller and a Docking Computer in it. Total cost 67,260 CR.

Sell the Meta-alloys at Mitchell City and you're looking at 17,064,192 CR. Should set you up nicely.

A Hauler is tiny. That loadout only carries 16t so it'll mean 16 trips back and forwards taking the alloys in to sell. If you can afford something bigger then great.
