The irony of the BBC news at 10 reporting the criticisms of the BBC pay salaries and pay gender gaps.
I don't think you understand irony, WHED.The irony of the BBC news at 10 reporting the criticisms of the BBC pay salaries and pay gender gaps.
But not pointing out that Claudia and Tess present a seasonal programme, whereas the highest paid individuals either work 6 times a week, every week or are producers as well as presenters or part of massive sports coverage worth huge sums of money. The irony of the BBC news at 10 reporting the criticisms of the BBC pay salaries and pay gender gaps.
I've got a copy of Alanis Morrisette somewhere.I don't think you understand irony, WHED.
Norton's doesn't include the money to his production company who run The Graham Norton Show btw.
Nothing outlandish in that list tbf, would be interesting to see ITV, Sky and Channel 4's comparative list like.
This.
Robert Peston left the BBC for itv Purely for money, he's admitted as much.
I'm not being funny like but there's a reason why they are paid so much, that is because they bring viewers and listeners to the BBC. They have their jobs for a reason and anyone who thinks the man on the street could do a better job in entertaining 9 million listeners or presenting match of the day, is living in cloud cuckoo land

Does anyone miss Robert Preston or Susanna Reid?
I dont think that the BBC'S ratings have fallen but ITV'S breakfast shows have
You see in my opinion it is the BBC Producers and programme makers and arrangers that make and style the shows not just stumpet trumpet egotist presenters.
ITV is the Daily Star of TV. They've gone from the South Bank Show to mass celebrity tripe. When Chiles and Bleakley left The One Show they sank like a stone on ITV.
Their replacements are infinitely better and The One Show is still going from strength to strength.
I'm not saying it's the best program in the world, but is a definite example of the BBC being ahead of the game.
Also just thought about when ITV had their own MOTD, "The Premiership" IIRC. Awful.
Completely agree, I listen to Nicky Campbell every day on the way to work and he is superb.This.

It's a fact tbh, broadcasters get paid a fortune shock ! Good luck to them.Imagine being bothered
It's 2017 how many years has the issue of women's equality been on the agenda? Here's the BBC a public institution slapping itself on the back because it would like to achieve equal pay by 2020.
As far as the salary levels are concerned we used to call them news readers or announcers back in the day - they weren't "super stars" because it didn't really take a lot of talent to do what they did. Many are simply journalists who are slightly more articulate than the rest of their number which quite honestly can't be that hard.
