You are speaking in hyperthericals, estimated wages etc but the simple fact is these championship standard players Newcastle brought in to help them achieve promotion were brought in on higher wages than were being offered elsewhere for the sole aim of achieving promotion and offloading them will be difficult as no teams may be willing to match these terms unless recently relegated and flush with premier league money. minus Sunderland since we're skint which leaves Hull and the smoggysYou should try reading the thread, here are previous comments that answer those questions:
"You mention "the money that they are likely to be on", which is something that a lot of people like to mention, a lot of those people are uniformed, Hanley's wage is estimated at around £20,000 per week, Gayle's wage is estimated at £35,000 per week (potentially lower) and Clark's wage was estimated at £30,000 per week before the Newcastle move, for a former captain, a star striker and an experienced Premier League centre back, those are low numbers in my opinion, based on those numbers I think it is sensible to assume the likes of Murphy (Ipswich), Sels (Gent), Lazaar (Palermo), Ritchie (Bournemouth), ect... will be on a similarly low(er) wage."
"Again you are now undervaluing what "Championship level players" earn."
"Think about the business that Newcastle made logically and impartially, a club purchased a player (Hanley as an example) from a Championship side (Blackburn), to play for another Championship side (Newcastle), that player assisted his new club in winning the league title. The former describes a player who is earning a similar wage to which they were previously earning who now has an increased stock value. That doesn't sound like an impossible player to move on."

Who cares
This is an NUFC forum.
I am not using "hypotheticals", I am using a logical train of thought and reasoning. The wages are estimates based on the evidence provided/gathered by the media (click the links), these "estimates" are the most reliable sources of information available (unless you suggest something more reliable), you thinking/saying that players were "brought in on higher wages than were being offered elsewhere", is not "fact", that is your uniformed/ignorant/invalid opinion supported by no evidence or reasoning. You have not challenged any of my points other than stating "you are wrong, I said so, so it's fact".You are speaking in hyperthericals, estimated wages etc but the simple fact is these championship standard players Newcastle brought in to help them achieve promotion were brought in on higher wages than were being offered elsewhere for the sole aim of achieving promotion and offloading them will be difficult as no teams may be willing to match these terms unless recently relegated and flush with premier league money. minus Sunderland since we're skint which leaves Hull and the smoggys
Mags may hit a sticky wicket with their squad size as well. Clubs know they will be desperate to get rid, be on high wages and they can only register 25 players.
Will they gamble and sign players in the hope of offloading later at huge losses.
Hanley wont go for 6m and 30k a week to his new club, if Newcastle have 27 squad players on their books come 1st August. Clubs will pressure them into offering them at a deal.
Not to mention the fact that the players might not want to leave and may fancy a crack at the prem. You are speaking in hyperthericals, estimated wages etc but the simple fact is these championship standard players Newcastle brought in to help them achieve promotion were brought in on higher wages than were being offered elsewhere for the sole aim of achieving promotion and offloading them will be difficult as no teams may be willing to match these terms unless recently relegated and flush with premier league money. minus Sunderland since we're skint which leaves Hull and the smoggys

You think the players you have that will need to be moved on will be moved on easily, I disagree and think this will cause you trouble. I don't need to know facts about wages and whether they are accurate to form this opinion. Are any championship clubs going to pay Murphy what he's on now at his age ? If they won't will he move just to play football or will he want to earn the most money from a very short careerMaybe, or they might want to play football. Murphy is the best example. Of course he'll want to play in the Premier League, but if Rafa tells him he'll not be in his plans, Murphy would prefer to move to a Championship club that's going to play him.
If we had a squad of mercenaries, I'd agree with you, but we've few if any of them. And fewer still who wouldn't be considered for the Premier League 1st team squad.

I didn't say it would be easy. There are some who would rather kick about with the reserves on £20k a week, than earn that by playing for a Ligue 1 club. I'm looking at you Monsieur Riviere. But I'm confident we'll be able to sell enough to make room in the squad for our incoming players.
I'm also confident that Murphy's modest wages and nominal fee won't put off many suitors. An experienced pro, with a record of scoring in the championship, for under £3m and reasonable wages.
I know it's comforting to predict the worst for your rivals, but if you're honest with yourself, Newcastle aren't going to find themselves kicking off the season with all of our Championship players on our books.
It A NUFC forum not AN NUFC forum mate.
I think you forget the arrogance of footballers and how a lot believe they are good enough for the Prem. To finally have a chance at it, won't be easy to turn their backs on whether or not the manager says he's not in their plans.
Didn't realise also you had to pay Ipswich anothe rMillion for Murphy since you got promoted. Ha £4m for him man, what on earth was Benitez thinking.
I would not follow the Toon policy of getting out of the Championship at the top end. Rafa got very lucky. I would give him 9 points for spotting weaknesses in the opposition though.
Beware of Brentford!
Toon haven't got an OK forum. Fact.
Fair play, do you know what, has the rules for the english language changed over the past 20yrs since I was in school? I'm sure I never got taught indefinite articles and shite like that. Our Lass is teaching me Russian (shes a ukrainian german teacher, work that one out) and comes up with all these definitions that I have no idea about! Not sure if you're serious but just in case you are; that's completely wrong.
The indefinite article has to correspond to how the acronym is pronounced; as opposed to how it's spelled.
So 'an NUFC forum' is the only correct version because the N in that acronym is pronounced as 'En'
There's loads of rules people don't realise they obey automatically.Fair play, do you know what, has the rules for the english language changed over the past 20yrs since I was in school?
