Pickford wants to stay

Anything less than £25m and we've been had.

Berometer: De Gea

Went to United for £20m in 2011 and Pickford is a much more refined Goalkeeper than De Gea was back then. That coupled with the fact he's still only a kid and the fact he's English and meets the home grown quota means he should, command a solid fee. In a time when young English talent, Sterling and Stones are going for £50m, £25m is a steal.
No way will we get that much. Have to be realistic - club's financial position, reduced TV money and the fact Pickford is largely unproven at the highest level. He has bags of potential but it's just that - potential. No team is going to pay £25m for a GK who isn't the finished product.

I'd love to think he will give us another season. No way he will go to the Mags.
If he does leave I hope he's not off to warm the bench somewhere he needs to be playing
If he went to a top half Premier League team and played every week, I wouldn't begrudge him a move. Same as Henderson and look at how he improved.

He will be starting for us on the first game of the season on a Friday night live on Sky IMO.

I don't begrudge him a move either, I'd just like him to stay :)

Disagree. De Gea already had European games and more top level games overall under his belt by the time he went to Man Utd.

United paid £20m for De Gea, and £25m now is arguably less than what £20m was then due to the whole global financial state and the new TV deal.

He's been telling people he's staying but it's impossible to believe anything football players say. I think the club would make the decision for him anyway

He's saying the right things publicly, but that doesn't mean much. If he wants to play for England, it's not going to happen sitting in the Championship, nor will it sitting on the bench somewhere. He'll move to the best club at which he can start, which will be somewhere better than Newcastle. It's a shame - he's a pretty good player now and will only get better - and the local connection makes it tougher too.
