Better Call Saul - Series 3

I'd imagine there will be another series as it seems to be liked by critics etc. Plus, the writers enjoy the character. And I'm sure they'll get a bit more mileage. I hope so.

As much as I hate having to wait one week to see the next episode, it's nice to be able to discuss each episode too.

Mike isn't getting any younger. I can see one more season, to join the dots; by then we'll see him change to Saul, what happens to that bird he's with, and Mike getting into the killing game.

Nearing the end of Fargo series 2 and things are starting to run dry for me

Tried orange is the new black and while there were tits within the first 5 mins it didn't happen for me  She's annoying
I gave up on Fargo half way through the first series. Couldn't get into Orange and gave up after 20 mins. Are you watching The Last Kingdom? I really like that.
Have you seen Mad Men and Boardwalk? Both as good or better than BB imo
Working my way through Mad Men, it's going off a bit for me now (series 5). I loved Boardwalk Empire. Richard Harrow and his half mask face was such a tragic standout character for me.

I wouldn't understand how you couldn't get into Fargo. I loved that first series

Well I"ve been googling like an idiot and can't find anything sensible to explain away how Jimmy can practice as Saul - unless, as suggested, he changes his name. I have read that in the 90s in New Mexico to practice law you would have had to go to a Uni rather than get a degree online (which you probably can do now). So, it seems that the writers aren't strictly keeping to what's legally possible anyway. He will have to win his case, of course, to keep his licence. I did find this:

And for everyone wondering when Jimmy McGill will finally become Saul Goodman, Odenkirk had some reassuring words.

“It’s gonna happen, not the way you expect it to,” he said.
:?::lol:

It's not in the 90s though?

I started off enjoying it, I thought Martin Freeman took a good part, then Colin Hanks started to get on my nerves and I found myself fast forwarding all of of his bits. Barmy really. Ruined it for myself.
Don't worry about it

I thought CH was a bit crap initially but Lorne Malvo and the Indian geeza were the best baddies since General Zod. Yes its a brilliant show but some people wont like it for whatever reason, I would say though its a really well made programme.

Never seen it what's it about? Boardwalk empire was class so is the wire I'm just up to the 5th season now

I keep pausing the episode to check how much enjoyment I have left.

Jimmy to fake his own death to become Saul? Assuming someone else's identity who Mike has popped off? Far fetched, a tad.

Have you not seen the original Coen Brothers film? It's based on that - a black comedy, quirky murder drama with Freeman as the mild mannered bloke who gets caught up in a whole load of stuff way outside his comfort zone. Billy Bob Thornton as an especially weird and interesting baddie. If you don't have any Hanks family acting related issues (not a fan of his Dad either) you should enjoy it.

I keep doing that! But he's still in the same area, with the same people he knows.

It's not someone Mike offed as Saul Goodman is the name Jimmy used when he was slipping Jimmy and bumping people with his mate

Which film is that?
