Rumoured to be getting a stand alone release in February. I got the newest box set with The Gouster in for Christmas but only had one listen of it so far
I looked at that but it's priced from £50 -£300 on ebay! The cheapest so from China anarl!

I cannot get away with Diamond Dogs either. I don't know why.

My top three would go Hunky Dory, Station to Station and I think Ziggy would pip Blackstar.

Tell us about the drugs raid man. You always avoid it!

Tube strike on!

I'm waiting for The Gouster album to be released properly.
Young Americans and Station To Station are my favourites of his and I'm interested in the whole Gouster/YA alteration. Lennon thought across the universe was garbage and couldn't understand why Bowie kicked songs off The Gouster for it. Fame it's understandable but Across The Universe drags YA down.
I know it's possible to burn your own cd of it from various YA releases and box sets but I'd prefer a real one.

You mean you haven't forked out £130 for 'Who Can I Be Now?'?!?

Aye I've seen a few of the Chinese ones on eBay and Aliexpress. I was tempted to get a Chinese Five Years CD box sets off eBay for around £35-£40.

Some people are flogging the individual discs on eBay so you might be able to get a copy of the Gouster off there if you cannot wait.

1 Young Americans
2 Station To Station
3 Low
4 Scary Monsters
5 Heroes

Like the dressy up box years and pre dressy up box years but love the stuff that followed. Post Scary Monsters there was a drop off in quality. Let's Dance was poor but not as poor as Low mind which unfortunately signalled what was to come over the next 30yrs in spades. His 70s run was better than anyone else has managed before or after over such a lengthy period.

No ,I'm not pretending anything,I'm being honest .I'm talking purely his voice
He was a musical magpie by his own admission ,he would be inspired and recreate using the best people .He changed constantly which is good in some ways but not everyone will buy your new you
I'm not the one selling a product to people ,you buy into it I don't .No big deal

Being pretentious isn't the same as pretending. You talk like you're the only one who has seen through the emperor's new clothes and won't waste time listening to something because you think it's going to be rubbish. Can't see what's to be gained by that. Meanwhile those of us who have 'bought into it'/been conned are having a great old time.

You've slated Low yet ranked it third?

It's his best record IMO

No chance. I need the money more than he does.......always have tbh.
I'm sure I've already got it somewhere! I've got the shortened gouster version of John I'm Only Dancing on a 7" vinyl single anarl. Probably got em all actually. There's three that were recorded for gouster that didn't make it even before Lennon turned up. I Am A Laser is one can't remember the others. Mid 70s plastic soul Bowies my favourite Bowie so I'm more interested in that than the umpteen ropey albums from the 80s onwards.

Someone wants £30 for it!

Sorry Lodger is the one I should've slated. Made up of leftovers from the other two Berlin albums iirc. Love Low.

Apparently they are still at least 4 or 5 songs recorded during Blackstar that haven't been released yet. 'Someday' (once called Blaze), 'When Things Go Bad,' 'Russian Black Man of Moscow,' and 'Wistful'. Plus he also had demos for a new album after Blackstar which might see the light of day.

There was also someone claiming there was a magazine review of an unreleased collaboration album with Scott Walker.

Seems as if it's not sure what it wants to be. End of glam or beginning of his new direction. No stands out tracks on it either IMO.
No stand out tracks? What about the title track then? Or 1984?

I love We Are The Dead too.

And omg it's got Sweet Thing and are Rebel Rebel on it ffs

Like I said, nothing really jumps out for me that's all. Rebel Rebel is one of his poorest "hits" IMO.
