2 ways of looking at it. Either way it makes a mockery of our drug laws

Weed is one of the most harmless things out there like. It does nowt for me, I've done it four or five times and didn't think there was much point doing it again. Far less harmful than alcohol and far less addictive.
So what? If you go to a squat in a derelict house somewhere in London you'll probably find that heroin is socially acceptable.
You are completely missing my point for justification, it's not a time thing, people have killed each other for centuries but that doesn't make it acceptable, it's the context it has in society and how it is used. If you can't grasp that then please don't bother replying again.
There's hundreds of examples, but here's one below. Perhaps you would have a difficult time justifying your flippant statement to the parents of Mr Gardner?

One case?
Can you present as many cases of weed related deaths as I can of alcohol related deaths? What about if I were to include deaths caused by the alcohol user?
How many people die a year caused by drink related diseases or because they're pissed at the time?
No I obviously can't, as alcohol is consumed by an extremely large percentage of the population. But I can give you links to many examples of death by illegal drug abuse, to suggest otherwise is silly.
Unless you're predisposed to being mental then LSD is really quite safe... and worthwhile.
Trust me mate,i took LSD many moons ago good trips great ones and f***ing ones where i hid in the shed when the mrs was looking for me well i thought she was until i realised was not my shed.
I reckon no-one has died from alcohol like, and that one news as sad as it is, is an isolated story. The daft bugger was taking drugs while his body was still developing. There's hundreds of examples, but here's one below. I've not done it many times to say, but I've only ever had good experiences. I've had a mate run out of the house screaming something about dinosaurs whilst on it mind...
To be fair a few women did that at a house party I was at, I thought they seemed a bit stand-offish when I attempted to chat to them, next minute they were leaving all shouting about an ugly dog.
Per capita statistics would give us a better idea. I wonder how many people burgle houses/shoplift etc because of alcohol compared to illegal drug addiction?
I really wish they would just legalise weed

By the way, the only drug I take regularly is alcohol. I do it because it is socially acceptable and I'm less likely to get nicked whilst under the influence. I f***ing love the taste of some alcohol and there's a whole wealth of it out there.
I'm under no illusions though, it is dangerous and if I keep up my current level of consumption for another... 5 years maybe I'll be verging on having problems.
I think there are many drugs out there, less dangerous than the drink which simply aren't accepted because of some kind of social stigma attached to them.
Do you think the drug itself makes people commit crime to fund their addiction? That seems to be what you're suggesting here. Perhaps its the criminal element to taking drugs that leads to crime. In which case, legalisation would be a good move, I'm sure you'll agree.
