he's right when he says correlation does not equal cause though.

Correct but the burden of proof for cause is bleeding through. This is becoming increasingly obvious. Like I say we 'knew' about tobacco dangers before they were proven to be watertight and it'll be the same with cannabis and psychosis. You'll see.

Aye and people still dont give a fuck when the health hazards are well known. Virtually everything seems to increase the risk or somthing

I suppose. That's called denial.

I dont think so. People know the health problems, and accept it comes with it. They just dont care. Fags, drink, food etc. Everyone knows the healthy route if they want it. Maybe when theyre 70 and having a a bit of shit time. We're all indestructible until then

Is that right. Who's done more research on the subject than the good people at the American Tobacco Industry? They say it's harmless. Why would they lie? If you're dead, you can't smoke.

from my favourite film

Yes it does matter. Professor Murray, quoted in that article has carried out tests showing that cannabis does increase psychosis in rats but that psychosis decreases when the drug is stopped but that the younger the subject - the more likely that any psychosis will be permanent.

Like I say the 60s and tobacco come to mind. The evidence is appearing but some folk will always stick their fingers in their ears. I imagine there would have been people back then saying 'I mean do people really give a fuck about this? Everyday you put the news on or read the paper and theres health warnings about something or other' about tobacco smoke.

It usually takes about 20 years for primary health research to get into the publics conciousness.

Even GP's etc are often not up on research unless they have a special interest - and there is just too much information out there.

My point was that there's a large body of research suggesting cannabis simply prompts or enhances psychosis in people already suffering from it mildly or people already predisposed to it.

Tobacco is still legal when, perhaps, it shouldn't be.

Cant ban it though can they, nor would they want to lose such a massive tax revenue

Of course not. And I just want to see an all or nothing approach rather than cherry picking what is, and is not, legal.

Dunno what theyre gonna do about tabs. Soon its going to be a tenner a packet and sooner or later people will be totally priced out and be flooding the black market. Maybe some governemnt will get a nice few million votes promising to drop the taxes on them at some point

Laugh all you want mate, I'm giving you the best advice on this you'll ever get - if you want to ignore it and keeping putting shite up your nose then go for it, no skin off my back.

My self-imposed masturbation ban may seem like a joke and people usually laugh when I tell them but I'm 100% serious. It was honestly like discovering a new religion, the effects were incredible. Same can be applied to drug use and booze - give it a go, I guarentee you'll feel tons better for it and it will change the way people treat you for the better.
:lol::lol: Brilliant just f***ing brilliant.

Just catching up with this thread

:lol: Masturbation ban, what positive effects has it had marra? Be like a f***ing squirty gun garn off next time u have a wank

I was still having sex with actual females during this 6 months mate, I just refrained from wanking.

Can't be arsed to go into this again, I understand it probably seems mental to people. All I can say is that the effects it had on me were incredibly positive in terms of how I felt within myself and how other people interacted with me.

The point I was trying to make was human beings pick up on shit (often subconciously) and somebody who exudes control is going to be treated with more respect and end up higher on the food chain than someone who takes coke in toilet cubicles etc. Give it up and you'll feel tons better within yourself and you'll see big improvements elsewhere in your life but if people think that's mental and want to carry on doing what they do then fair enough, don't really give a fuck - just hope you have no regrets 20 years down the line.

I'm drug free mate, was just wondering how not jerking could have a positive effect

This bloke has quite an overriding sense of insanity

He's obsessed with control, it seems to military proportions

Why is that?

Don't think I'd like to find out
