Are you being deliberately obtuse?
Why does that matter? It's just as harmful.
More harmful than most

Leeds.
He is that fucked he does not know city from city.
opium has been used for absolutely thousands of years by many, many civilisations. ampheatmines have been used extensively by NASA and the US armed forces. just bringing it back to your historcial point...
It doesn't fit, I was talking about historical context in our country. Yes, in Victorian times we had opium dens in London, but hardly gives it nationwide popular context like beer. Your other justification isn't even worth commenting on it's that worthless.

so you are not talking about legality, just social acceptance.

Legality and context, that is quite clear.
I will not be told on here by a group of charvas that cocaine is socially acceptable when I know full well it isn't to a very large percentage of the population.
Why is historical acceptance a logical reason for allowing the free sale and consumption of a substance as harmful, destructive and addictive as alcohol?

How do you know they are all chavas? Know them all like?
your justification was that we've been drinking alcohol for years. all i'm saying that opium for example has been around much, much longer and is still used in various countries today.
if you want to call me a charver go right ahead. i'm quite clearly not however.
if you go to a number of parties or bars in London you will find that coke is totally socially acceptbale. not my bag but who am i to judge.

Well, either charvas or ageing charvas that should really have grown up by now.
Are you suggesting prohibition? Or that everyone is society is irresponsible?
I am not massive on drugs but i did take them in my younger days, It is in every class from chav to middle then the rich twats. It is all around us.
Some people notice it some don't. Just the way it goes really. Most if not every pub will have had people take drugs in them some actually don't mind as the majority of the customers take the drugs.
Think its different sets of drugs that cause different problems smack heads are the worst type but also have rock stars hitting it back so once again like worlds apart.
I'm suggesting that equally dangerous substances should be on equal terms legally.
I think this is one of the worst parts about the 'stars'. They don't hide their use and have a really immature attitude about the use of drugs. Only recently did pensioner Paul McCartney say he was giving up weed, guess why? Because he didn't want his daughter influenced... Therefore it seems he was quite happy to influence other peoples children but not in his own back yard...
and tabs iirc.Weed is one of the most harmless things out there like. It does nowt for me, I've done it four or five times and didn't think there was much point doing it again. Far less harmful than alcohol and far less addictive.

What is equally as dangerous and how can you prove it?
