The exact opposite is true as it was with Henderson when he was here. There isn't a goalkeeper that has been born that could have saved either of the goals you are referring to and had De Gea, Courtois or Loris let those goals in no-one would have raised an eyebrow. In fact De Gea's goals recently on Sunday against Chelsea and against Watford were proper errors of which Pickford would have been slaughtered for.

To be fair to Mannone Pickford hasn't had the opportunity to prove himself over a number of games. Mannone was very good when he first broke into the team but didn't have the ability to maintain his consistency.

Im not suggesting mannone is any better. Pickford doesn't put it near any of his team mates though
 
Don't understand this "no place for an inexperienced keeper business". The lad clearly has a lot of confidence in himself and can only get better testing his wits against the best.

And how do you know what his instructions are? We only have Defoe up front and it would be a bit daft if he tried to dink a pass to our quite f***ing hopeless midfield. Really struggling with your argument here like.

Not to mention the fact he's not inexperienced. He's played more senior professional games than Mannone.

Absolutely - there are times where he hits it early into space to force a throw in further up the pitch. He is great with the ball at his feet and how well and accurately he kicks the football. His decision making is in need of improvement but that will come.

Am really at a loss now with what some people are expecting. I don't see any other keeper or outfield player for that matter hitting 50 yard passes perfectly everytime but this lad reckons because he doesn't hit Defoe every time he is crap. Beyond belief sometimes matey
 
I still cant get over this feeling by some fans that 'players get slack because they are local'. That's utter shit Henderson used to get loads of undeserved stick as does Pickford albeit by an ignorant minority. Local players are judged much more harshly than most.

'Smash the ball back to the other team so they can attack us again'. Doubt it mate. He kept giving it back to them on Saturday. Payet hit the post from one of his kicks going straight to their team. Struggling with your argument unless you're saying we're playing to kick it their team.

You'd at least put it down the line and hope to win a throw in

Technically he is as good as they get for a keeper, tactically with Moyes I have no idea what he is being told matey.

Struggling with your argument when you blame him for conceding goals on Saturday and at Stoke that Shilton, Banks and Yashin playing in goal at the same time couldn't have saved.

What you really should be doing is asking yourself why you are having that point of view. Out of hundreds of thousands of media outlets worldwide including TV, radio, national newspapers have you heard or read one criticism of Pickford on either goal. The answer will be no and there's a good reason for that. Work out what it is.
