Borini

Ok here are the facts of the situation that we know through Rodgers/Poyets comments to media....

1) We agreed a fee with Liverpool.....we don't know when that fee was agreed but seems likely last Friday.
2) The day after a fee likely agreed Borini plays for Liverpool.
3) The day after that he flys to USA.

Reading between the lines this leaves three options.....1) He spoke to SAFC before Liverpool friendly against Preston and nothing agreed so he played.....2) He hasn't spoke to us yet.......3) He wants to stay and Liverpool and won't consider speaking to us.

Whichever way you look at it, spending 8+ days since fee agreed and still no sign whatsoever of him even appearing to sign doesn't look good for us, time is running out, we can't wait for him forever.

We have no idea what has been going on behind the scenes that the media are not aware of

He is though flying back to England for treatment on an injury that is not that serious at all, which leads me to think he is flying back here for another reason

This, I imagine his agent will have been speaking to the club this week. There is no rush at all for Borini, Liverpool want rid of him and we're the only takers, he'll just be biding his time trying to get the biggest wage/contract possible.

We won't wait forever but given we haven't pulled out it would seem that events are taking place within a timescale which SAFC consider reasonable and acceptable.

QPR waited over 4 weeks for Steven Caulker to decide he wanted to sign for them, so in affect this is nothing new, its the new way football deals are done these days unless your a top club you simply have to wait until the players agent thinks its a right move

Nothing to say Borini isn't sorted with us now? LOTS of deals are dynamic and move on as a player comes and goes, especially at the smaller clubs, like us who just don't have the budget to increase the wages so easily.

yes there is, our manager said so

.. see were you are coming from but we deffo have to start looking for another striker or we could drop our selves right in the sh1te .. who knows, maybe we have that base covered and we need two new strikers imo ..

We should surely be taking some confidence from the fact the club have not pulled the deal, they must still be fairly confident of it happening

The longer is goes on, the less likely it is too happen. We are now less than 3 weeks to the 1st game and one way or another it needs to be resolved, we could end up waiting another 2 weeks for Borini to make his mind up and by that point we will be approaching panic mode territory. Now maybe there is more to Borini flying home from Liverpools tour than meets the eye, lets hope so.

You dont want shooting, you want machine gunning to death, beating around the head, hanging, drawing and quartering, then made to sit and read the responses to your post.

He's not gonna come out and say he's ours before The FA sign it off is he? Everything will have been agreed and all that's been missing is that signature, he's now back this weekend "For treatment on a bruised shoulder" sounds like to complete the deal to be honest.
