One out, bases loaded, and you bring in... a starter, who never comes into a game in this situation. And who has started twice in this series and been awful in both. WTF.

He was a bullpen player back in April, but yeah, hell of an ask given his series so far.

He was out there in the first place in April because he's not particularly good. And the more hitters see a guy, the more they adjust, so someone who's already been seen plenty and hit hard is a curious choice, to say the least. Maybe he owns Heyward or something - although that's not hard on present form. Big K there.
 
And on the hill you have a guy with 2 career saves trying to close out Game 7 of the World Series for a team that hasn't won in more than a century. The best laid plans indeed. Good luck to all.
