Agreed. If there's space in the disabled section then he should just take it. I understand he feels that others need it more but if, currently, there aren't enough people needing the spaces then he might as well use one. That being said I can't see why they can't store it somewhere in the ground, as mentioned the betting kiosks are empty after kick off for starters

And i don't blame him. My dad has stopped going because he has had a few toes removed and finds it difficult to walk - if I suggested that i take him in the disabled section he'd give me a right-hander.

Why?? What would be a problem with sitting in a disabled section? That is the kind of attitude that needs changing. People that sit there aren't from another planet, it wouldn't make him any less of a person

He is disabled, your post said 'I don't blame him' if you had mobility issues and struggled to get to a regular seat would you refuse to sit in disabled section?

Don't really get the health and safety argument tbh. If there was a fire or some other emergency situation half of us would be completely fucked anyway such is the design of the stadium. A wheelchair sat in a room somewhere would make no difference at all.
