Chinese smart phones like the ones we have mentioned will take off soon. Quite a following on some forums. No need for £950 iphones any more.

spot on !

i've got the OnePlus X

superb build quality for the price it was and still pretty quick despite the older tech

would go for the OnePlus 3 but can't get away with the 5.5" screen

5.5 is what I was after. I'm always striving for that extra length........

been looking a the one plus phones today, I've been SCOURING the Chinese market all day, and I have just this second plumped for a homtom ht10, yes it sounds crap, but the specs are ridiculous ! deca core, and its even got the iris scanner  great price too
Linky??

Yeh, you'd think they'd be a massive market for top end phones with medium sized screens, but there just isn't.

Sony tried it with the z compact range. Great phones, but no profit in it

surprising how quick you get used to the 5.5 screen on a phone. love mine now, was thinking of selling it on when i got it.

it's a shame but I'm quite happy with the X, just the camera that lets it down

I'd happily pay the same price as the 3 for flagship specs in a 5" device but as you say doesn't seem to be a market with bigger the better where everyone goes

I've got the OnePlus 2 and can't fault it at all. The only problem is it'll cost me circa £110 to fix the screen, which is more than a 1/3 of the price.

Another reason I went or the phone I did was the removable battery. I'm sick of going out for the day and the battery going down on it by early evening. My plan is to charge the spare battery up so you have another full cycle of use  (easy to carry too)
The big Boys have gone away from this way of thinking, which seems barmy to me

I dropped mine down the bog and now the home button/fingerprint bit doesn't work, I bought a replacement fingerprint but it looks too difficult to replace and a shop wouldn't touch it,insurance excess is £75

You could've just bought a powerbank and not worried about the battery being removable or not.

I have one. Its a very good piece of kit.

* Feels and looks premium in every way.

* If you roam around the world get one of these 3 sims which is good for a year for 12GB of data works in 40+ countries now. Slam it in slot 2 and forget about it. (can be found for as cheap as £21)

* The phone feels great on the hand, weight is well distributed, if a bit slippery. Depending on how you look after your phone, you may want a bump case in case you drop it.

* 3rd update since new has made the battery a little worse, but its still better than most for drainage.

* Finger print recognition is amazingly quick.

* Dash charge is crazy fast.

* Anyone wanting a brand new phone for £300 (think its more now) should get one.

I bought one of them ones that fit the phone. Made it massive and bulky in my pocket. Did the job. But.......
You can get really small ones that'll just about charge one phone. You can squirrel it away somewhere.
I'm never a fan of phone cases as they all make phones look awful. Rather just take the risk of damaging it tbh.

I used to think that but I smashed up my Sony a couple of times before the contract I had was a year old so bought the OnePlus One and I've broken that three times now so cases it is all the way from now on.
