Zak Crawley


Jordan Cox called up as extra batter. Lawrence to play. Not sure if Lawrence will open or not though. Pennington injured and replaced by Ollie Stone. I hoped they’d have brought a proper opener in to replace Crawley like.
 
Maybe a bit left field but I do like the look of Kashif Ali and he's been outstanding in a Worcestershire team that have really struggled. He's made his way into county cricket the hard way so would be lovely to see him play for England one day if he continues to do well.

Glad to see Dan Lawrence get a chance. I think he deserves it. I love his bowling action as well.

Crawley has been absolutely pants in the County Championship this year and mixed against WI but I'd still stick with him for a bit.

However, there's some great talent in the county game.

I've seen George Thomas bat a couple of times now and at 20 he's an interesting prospect I'm looking forward to seeing more of.

England’s opener today, Zak Crawley, and number 11 Adil Rashid have each batted 251 times in first class cricket in their careers.

Adil Rashid has a better first class batting average.
