The first brand split in 2002 made sense as the roster was just overloaded with talent. On top you had Austin, Rock, HHH, Undertaker, Angle, Jericho, Benoit, the nWo, Hogan, Kane with the likes of Booker T, RVD, Edge, Rikishi, Regal, Christian just behind and all the tag teams which I can't be arsed to list. There was simply not enough room even with two shows to have all of the talent utilised effectively. Nowadays it's the opposite, not enough engaging characters to fill in the time.
Probably tomorrowThey’ll eventually sack it off just like every other time they’ve done it
I’m of the complete opposite opinion. I really like the brand split as it creates more opportunities and the Brock Reigns stuff frustrated me as it dominates both shows and there’s less opportunities for other wrestlers.More shite resulting from the brand split.
Add in the increased importance of the women's division (which unlike the brand split I actually like) and there is more than a full night's worth just to do the title matches.
But spreading it over two nights just dilutes the quality, and its not as if they have a stacked roster to start with.
Splitting the brands and having most of the titles replicated in the women's division means they've nearly quadrupled the number of titles from back in the day, such that they are pretty meaningless. Yet you have to have most of the titles defended on a PPV.
I only watch it on and off now and haven't watched it at all really for months. Looking at the card beforehand then other than looking forward to seeing Stone Cold, the only matched I had much interest in over the entire card were Lesnar/Reigns, Becky/Bianca and Charlotte/Ronda.
I don't know how they go about bringing back the excitement, but for me having one champion has got to be part of it, and hopefully that's where they might be headed with the champion v champion match.
Zayn v jackass was surprisingly fun.Thank the heavens above Omos lost, I hope I never see him on my tv ever again
.
Not going to lie, I had a good chuckle during the Zayn and Knoxville “match” still don’t think it should have been on a wrestlemania show like. I bet Chris Pontius was gutted he couldn’t get his knob out![]()
Aye the aj match was underwhelming, crowd seems dead unless a legend turns up, sums up the booking by the company when the majority don’t get a reaction unfortunately.Zayn v jackass was surprisingly fun.
Edge v styles felt a little flat and dragged in parts (very dissapointing tbh) and definitely the wrong winner, then following up with the new day getting squashed just killing the crowd...good job Taker coming out again to lift them back up
Also, given his never say never line....i feel like Taker is the backup plan for Reigns next Wrestlemania if the Rock is unable to compete.
Vince reeling backwards from the kick that Austin had to drag him back to himThe state of that stunner man![]()

Now let's be fair, the 1st one gave us the greatest money in the bank cash inIt's a shame it took 3 attempts to get this matchup right because this is a big one.
