Whats your choice of wine?

I like most smooth, medium and full bodied reds as long as they're not overly fruity or acidic.

I tend to go for a Rioja as an easy choice but have enjoyed lots of other wines.

Yeah that was a nice drop, I've had it a few times.

My absolute favourite would be Brunello di Montalcino but it's far too expensive to drink regularly. Cheaper alternative which I tend to go for where possible is the Rosso di Montalcino, otherwise Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, or a good Chianti (which is hard to find in the supermarket, most of the time - the good stuff is hard to get hold of in the UK outside of wine merchants, and then falls into the expensive bracket too).

Have you ever tried the Costco ones? I never get there hardly but they had a nice looking Fleurie and some other looking interesting reds

Best bang for buck at the moment seems to be Cassiero del Diablo. Ranges from ok to very good, and for about £8.50 a bottle.

Too much complete shit being pushed these days though, big brand nonsense like 19 Crimes or whatever its called. Just shite with sugar added to attract non-wine drinkers.

This guy is my go-to at the moment, really enjoy the daft bastard

Does some decent reviews him. That's how I found the cairanne.

He also pointed me in the direction of the Aldi Chablis but when it's not on sale it's a bit pricey for me.

Can't do red, and tried a good few times.

But white.....

Picpoul
Chablis
Gavi
Pinot (dry ones)
Grüner Veltliner
Unoaked Chardonnay
Grillo
Albarino
Vinho Verde
White Rioja

Basically if its white, dry and not too fruity I like it.

I’ve usually get a 19 crimes and think it tastes alright. What alternative would you recommend around that price (£10-15).
Usually that, campo viejo Rioja or whatever Aldi wine of the week is.
Cassillero del diablo Merlot I wasn’t that fussed on and a few other merlots I’ve tried. All at the cheaper end mind.
Open to any recommendations

I rarely ever touch alcohol, but when I did used to it was rioja for me
Cant go wrong with a good Rioja. Not expensive and very Moorish in more ways than one

I had a 19 the other day, the haloween special one. It was disgusting. Still drank it of course, I'm from Peterlee ffs.

Just going off that blerk I suggested, the Malbec is better for £8.50. And the Volcanic Cab Sav for £10.50 is apparently excellent. Both Cassiero Diablo.

That Campo Viejo is a good brand too imo. Used to get it all the time in Spain for peanuts.

Oh, and anything by Errazuriz is usually a safe bet.
