He’s was poor today.. his passing in the final third was so poor but then again some of xhaka’s passing and crossing was really poor.

Shame we didn’t get a point

They arent miles ahead but going forward they are miles ahead of us. Got to think we had a championship player centre half today. No offence to him but he is what he is .
 
I just want to say that before the game started that this would show where we were…
Well we’re bloody decent.
I hope this gives the lads some encouragement to keep pushing. A couple excellent wingers, cover for left back and a Xhaka understudy and we could be right up there in the top half.
It’s some achievement and tbh the media doesn’t give us enough credit. Hendrie is right.. it’s outrageous how good we are considering the position we were in. The media hardly recognises it and forgets what’s happened with previous promoted teams.

I think theres maybe a pictue of diarrah built up over 2nd half of the season. For a big money signing, hes generally underwealmed

Exactly. We're finally back as a serious premier league outfit who no team in the league wants to play. If anyone is gonna beat us, it's gonna be a battle. We are a million miles away from where I thought we'd be. Happy and content for the rest of the season

What is the level required if diarra is nowhere near it? Thats an insane statement. Hes going to the world cup as a key member of his country's team. A country that recently beat England.

He is so fit. Him and sadiki just dont stop.
 
One area we got out tacticed in is on the wings, they took midfielders out wide and forced 3v2’s in those positions, and we didn’t adapt or have a response to it. One for Regis to work on at the tactics board or other sides will do the same.

Does it hell, it shows someone trying to be too cute and think about himself, instead of playing the easy pass for a tap-in for Talbi. I love this club but that was atrocious and I don’t know how people can defend it. I like Diarra, and I think he will come good, but it was shocking

Big problem in the first half was the wingers not tracking runners. It's one of Villa's strengths playing those balls so we should have been aware of it.
