We weren’t outclassed

Roefs wouldn't have been going down like Martinez was.

Can't agree with your opinion.
I don't think this is true either but we can agree to disagree.
Diarra, if he has to try a chip, has to go the opposite side he did, instead as I've said heputs it in the only place the keeper can get his hand. Imho he should never be trying a chip when both corners were the easier option.

Showboating, much like Le Feè with his Rabona penalty, has again cost us points.

Great game for the neutral but we must now make sure we win the next two.
I don't think it's in the same ballpark as the Le Fee pen. He has much less goal to aim at, the ball is moving and he doesn't have time on his hands. There are countless examples of players blasting it straight at the keeper there.

We went in 2-1 down. At the risk of sounding like Lee Johnson, we were better between the boxes. But we created very little first half.

We found something towards the end. The character of the team has never been in question. They’ve grafted and delivered time and time again this season.

Diarra’s miss was horrific. Like it’s the simplest finish, or pass, you’ll ever see. We should be sat here in 6th.

But Diarra & 09, who are nowhere near the level required, cost us getting anything from that game.
^Hates Diarra.^

Think I'll side with Diarra.

Played poorly, but still should have won it.....that shows how far we have come.

It has only been Man City and possibly Arsenal away where we have been total outclassed. The other "thumping" was against Brentford away, where we had a chance to equalise with a pen and it might have been completely different.

It has been a class season, let's not be too critical of the lads tonight.

You can see, if you understand football, Diarra has more than enough about him for a team that has just been promoted. As usual, youre gonna look a **** next season when he scores double figures.
There's definitely a player in there. He has pace, aggression, skill and desire. That was a great run for his chance. He'll 100% come good. He played well against the mags 4 weeks ago!

He played well today. Fluffs a chance against a world class keeper. It happens.

First half I thought he was really good.
Sure he’s chuffed you bothered to turn the tele on
Lol good one mate. You should put it on a flag.

Notice too, both his goals vs Burnley were proper shankers, he got lucky...which to me shows he's got a bit to learn, but he has so much potential, makes you laugh these opinions cutting players down.

I think the Prem is above O'nien, but even he has been able to play his part.

I agree with absolutely everything you say here and tomorrow I will wake up and be over it, but for now I’m going to stay in a huff with myself and hurt a little bit more before I shake it off. You are correct by the way.
I'm over it in a way as moaning and pissing on about it gets you nowhere. It's obvious the emotions of some are getting the better of them and some is understandable but some is extreme. Yet if we'd drawn then it wouldn't have hurt as much yet it's still the same chance to win it from Diarra 😉

Nah he's shite man.

That Donnaruma must be pleased he doesn't play for Sunderland. After this first half fuck up there would be a queue of people ready to sack him or cut his balls off etc.

Fuck sake it was a reasonable effort that the keeper pulled off a very good save. It was about 6 inches away from being a cracking winning goal.

I had no problem with Le Fee trying a rabona. It was great execution but the keeper never moved and made him look like a mug. Shit happens.
But why not KISS?

Minutes away from potentially the comeback of the season, beating a team who are nailed on for European football, taking 4pts from the too, moving into a European place ourselves and the headlines would have HAD to be positive, (instead we'll get the plucky Sunlun pat on the heid from the usual suspects).

You want to showboat, show off how good you are you HAVE to make it count. Otherwise;

Keep
It

Not disputing it's a different situation but I'm using it as am example of where being too clever/showboating has cost us massively when the simple solution sees us win the game.

Hopefully Granit gives him a kick up the arse, a few words and then a cuddle and the rest of the lads take the piss all week in training so that he comes back ready to tear Forest and Wolves a new arsehole.

Hattricks in his next two games to make amends

Grow up man.

He saw the keeper go down and he had the skill and ability to try to lift it over him which is what he did but a world class keeper saved it on the full stretch.

It's fuck all to do with arrogance or showboating. It's trying to do something that he thinks is his best chance of scoring.

He's a 22 year old kid who's still learning the game, a few months into his Premier League career.

Stop being a drama queen.

I don't think he's trying to be too clever, is what I'm saying. He's got limited choices and the one he took is a legitimate one.

Enzo's penalty is, without a doubt showboating. This one doesn't fall into that category. But again, we can agree to disagree. There are plenty of things we can criticise Diarra for this season but I don't think that finish is one of them, in all honesty.

It's frustrating because of the context and what it meant in the overall result but that's football. Brilliant game. Plenty to be positive about and the chase for Europe isn't over because we haven't beaten a team who are going to finish in the Champions League spots away from home.

Ooooo! Pull ya claws in Queen!! 👑

I forgot that no-ones allowed to suggest anything that detracts from your pov.

If you see some of my posts and actually read them, rather than just posting laughing emojis, you'll see I've defended the lad.

But fact remains his decision making was poor today, not questioning skill or ability, and its not the first time. Am I suggesting we get rid or he's shite, certainly not.

And he DID make the save easier for Martinez than it needed to be.

Love it. It’s a good time when people mention flags😎

60% of the flaggers were at the game today, whilst 60% of this board were sat on their arses in the house.

He's one of the best keepers in the league. Chill out for fuck sakes

It doesn’t matter if he’s Lee Camp or f***ing Levi Yashin, there shouldn’t be a bastard save to make.

Isidor demonstrated exactly what to do about 2 minutes before.
Gutted like, Europe was calling

Still is. Bournemouth the only team to make a step forward this weekend. Every other team in the hunt fluffed their lines.

We’d have been right in the fight if we’d won today like.
