Nowt to do with var.Ha, yeah, all those loyal fans that have pumped money into the game for decades might finally fuck off for good.
Nowt to do with var.
It’s nothing to do with var, the lack of concern over fans and their money.Impossible to say with it only being used in a few cup games but don't let that stop you.
love to have this answered ^^^^ anyone? we were told over and over that the VAR ref 'advises' or 'alerts' the ref, but the on pitch ref always has final decision. that is utter bollocks.
If that’s at me, I have answered that exact point quoting that questionThe person who has continually said this has now seemingly decided to ignore this question, which speaks volumes.
Edit: reading on, the goalposts seem to have been shifted.
HereThat how var works. It assists. The final decision rests with the onfield official.
Do you bet on horse racing?
If that’s at me, I have answered that exact point quoting that question
Here
Sorry but I’ve been inundated tonight about varYou have, but I quote as I go so hadn't got that far. I'd asked you a couple of times earlier this evening with no response.
As I said with my edit, you seem to be now shifting the goalposts. We've had this debate before where you were adamant the ref had the final say, but that's been shown not to be true in a number of instances in the past couple of weeks. I know I'm kind of repeating what @tunstallhill said earlier here.
Sorry but I’ve been inundated tonight about var, left, right and centre
The regulations with var use are clear. It’s an assistant to the onfield official. That’s the basic premise
The problems are occurring due to the total incompetence of the English officials using it
That’s the real problem, not var it’s how it’s to be used correctly
We are just playing our never ending rally in this var debate. Of course those who don’t like it are correct in what they are saying
However if and when the English officials begin to understand its use and following that are renowned experts in tv and written media, learn how it’s to be used, the problems will return
I’m all for it and won’t be swayed
Did not cause chaos whatsoever
It’s a very straightforward system and var does not give a decision. It offers the referee to look again and then he either stays with his live decision, or chooses to change his decision
If people can get through their heads, it all becomes straightforward
The referee as it has been since football began, is the sole arbitrator
Wrong.
In premier league, the decisions will be seen on the big screen
Then as it always been a gripe at the officials
It’s nowt to do with var
That’s the misunderstanding about var, creating incidents when it’s simply not used
Then when it is used, it’s down to the onfield official to either back himself or choose to change his mind
Var does not, or never has, given a decision. It’s down to the field official as it has since the 1880s onwards
I keep saying it but nothing has changed. The onfield ref is the sole arbitrator and if he thinks his decision is correct there is nothing the VAR officials can do
I’ve been consistent on these basic facts but I’m have to explain what about if this happens time and again
Penalties, offsides, red and yellow card misidentified the player responsible
All other decisions are opinions decision, which can be decided by one man only
VAR says it itself. Video ASSISTANT referee
Neither has my point about clueless English officials not understanding vars useNo worries. Must be hard trying to fly the flag against common sense
I take you back to when we had this debate in another thread:
For me, what's been happening with VAR contradicts what you were saying in these posts. That was my point then and nothing has changed.
Neither has my point about clueless English officials not understanding vars use
Totally consistent all the way through of what var is to be used for and how
Until the clueless officials learn to use it correctly there is not a hope in hell of it being accepted
Var, video assistant referee. Not video makes the decision for the referee system
That’s the basic problem the clueless officials can’t grasp
By the way, it’s not down to me to justify var to the public
It’s the clowns of the FA and English referees association
All I’ve ever said on the subject is straight from the fifa guidelines for var use
You’ve never accepted that and until you do, this will go on forever
Or until I'm satisfied with VAR. So yes, perhaps forever
I think @MackemX may have explained some of the points a bit more clearly on the last page (none of which address my biggest gripes), but I'll have to read the post properly at a more appropriate hour.
Why can't they have GPS trackers in players vests?
About 4 other threads on it mate
"Clear and obvious". They cant even follow their own guidelines, get ready for 1710 hr finishes.Southampton V Derby
Waghorn "apparently" ruled offside.
Looked like the Southampton players arm was keeping him on like
Seems like the wrong decision
