Season hasn’t even started - Bedwetter
It’s only been 10 games - Bedwetter
It’s not even Xmas - Bedwetter
Not had the January window - Bedwetter
Still got time, not even Easter - Bedwetter
We’ll win the play offs man - Bedwetter

The same poor responses from posters that are unable to question and criticise, happily clapping us to mediocrity as that is the key to be the number one supporter in their minds. They fail to accept that by doing this, they are accepting mediocrity, which the club will be happy to serve if that's the height of our ambition.

Mediocrity would be a start

And look what happened the following season at the higher level after promotion

True but it's more of an indication of being promoted with a good squad rather than an excellent one for the league and the manager not being massively backed, but making a pigs ear of what he did have. We can't affect that right now.

The point was about Championship winning sides not always trouncing their way to promotion. People seem to be getting offended by the manager wanting to build a solid defence. Obviously we want it to be balanced, but even Peter Reid's 105 point side strengthened defensively on the previous year with Butler and Sorensen, who had a record amount of clean sheets that season. Ross is absolutely correct we need to be better defensively, we also need to improve offensively though.

What a stupid comment.

Whilst it's absolutely correct it's an idiotic comment that people are throwing around like confetti, as if he had something to do with us playing at this level. I've certainly got misgivings against him and think he could have done better, but it's made to sound like he was absolutely useless and walked into an easy job.

Well done. I agree 1000%.

How? Ross failed miserably last season

This. We were so full of hope and expectation that at least we could cope with League One. Having dropped down not one but two divisions we could not cope with we fully expected to find that level in League One. Yet we still could not cope.

He was and it was. It's League One. Not the hardest league in the world when you have club's like Rochdale.

Feisty one you are

Because we were already in League 1 when he came in. The only other season we played in the 3rd tier we won the league, so whatever Ross did last season he would have at best equalled our worst ever season.

Just because we are a big name doesn't mean we have the best squad. There is a reason why we were relegated from the championship.

If you're suggesting Reece James and Cattermole would have us higher up in the league, then that is an even better one
Reece James is far better than anything we have at left back this season so yes, generally better players get you higher up the league

You're extremely deluded mate. This squad is more than capable of promotion, it's our manager who isn't upto it. The addition of an average left back wouldn't change that one bit.
