You're going to check out all of the tickets offices that are under threat of their staff being made redundant?
Who do think helps out when people have a problem with said Oyster cards, people who need assistance??
Who empties/fills up the Oyster card machines?
If there are any incidents, then the station staff have been trained to sort out any problems - what happens if someone hurts themselves at the top of an escalator when there's nobody there in the ticket office??
We're talking about 800 people losing their jobs.
The ticket office staff play an important part of the LU system.
LU have had months and months to get this sorted, and they are still hell-bent on going ahead with the closures.
Members have been balloted correctly, and are right behind the action.
It is up to LU to sort this out, but they are dragging their feet, and trying to blame the unions as per usual.
And people are getting brainwashed by the media who keep on quoting how much this is costing London and the British economy - utter crap.
What about the people who are losing their livelihoods?
Every job matters.
Utter crap, and you know it.

Is anyone happy about it?Imagine being such a twat you are happy to see people lose their jobs
Easy to get a ticket from Schönefeld to Central Berlin?
The announcers at Victoria are always a good laugh.
It's unfortunate but these things happen, no company would pay significant salary for a job that is no longer required.
What is utter crap?
The queues at the machines were horrendous when we went in November. There's no machines on the trains either. There's BVG & DB staff there to help but only one for every 2-3 machines. Download the BVG app and buy on your phone before you get there. You need to get a Berlin ABC ticket. A one day ticket will cost €7.70 for one person. If there's two of you, you're better off buying individual tickets. You only start saving money if there's 3-5 people travelling on one ticket.
Few on here like thatImagine being such a twat you are happy to see people lose their jobs
I read somewhere the Berlin ticket inspectors dinnit fuck about and give you a canny expensive on the spot fine if you dinnit have a ticket or the incorrect one. Ta for the advice. Any news on Edgbaston?

Similar to people who won't use self service aisles at Asda because it puts checkout staff out of work, but are happy for the Tories to erode Union rights with no challenge.Imagine being such a twat you are happy to see people lose their jobs
Not sure anyone on here is saying that.
Sadly with technological advances, some jobs are no longer required like they used to be.
Holding a city of 9m people to ransom when that happens is not a sustainable solution.
Unfortunately creates a groundswell of anger which allows the tories the chance to push through things like Trade Union bill, of which we've only seen the beginning.

Are you blaming the unions and the general public for the Trade Union bill?Holding a city of 9m people to ransom when that happens is not a sustainable solution.
