Travelling by Car to Wembley

Basically all I had to eat all day was two packets of KP Skips and two biscuits. I didn't buy anything at the service station because I was hoping to buy something at the stadium. But when I got in the place was having with supporters and I could not get in anywhere and was turned away from one or two. I intend to buy something substantial this time round.
What you doing then SBC? Coach? Or drive down Sat and stay the night? Watford Prem Inn is handy for the Metropolitan line direct to Wembley

Woooooah
Steady on there marra
You get out of bed the wrong side ?

I'm sorry I snapped. You don't deserve it. Your a good bloke I bet and have probably been good to me. but have you any idea how long it took for me to put that together? I was even thinking about it most of last night at work. This thread and some of the replies has dominated my thoughts the last few days or so.

No problem
Have a good day

@Ginger John sent me a brilliant PM last night. I hope he won't mind me sharing but he did say it was said with my safety in mind. My only fear travelling these-days is the possibility of a crash. Nothing else phases me at any driving journey. It really doesn't. I am confident. I am sensible and responsible so I do not take ridiculous risks like speed or brake any law, and when facing a long car journey I am mindful to take all steps to safeguard my health and well-being by taking regular breaks, turn up the volume on the music (which does help) and maybe buy a tea or bottle of fruit juice to takeout which staves off tiredness as coffee doesn't I believe.

I am of the mindset that how can we know and how can we find out things unless we try? Nothing has ever been achieved or found out not doing anything for the first time.

On September 7 1838 did it deter Grace Darling saying to herself "I have never saved lives before so I don't think I should go out to the survivors of the Forfasrshire"? No. She did it anyway despite it being her first time she and her father saved the lives of 9 people. Four men and a woman in the beginning and then William and three of the men went and saved four more.

Would we have lifted the 1973 FA Cup had Ian Porterfield said "I don't think I should be a footballer because I have never really played the game before"? He did it anyway despite it being the first time and became one of the most loved and famous legends of our club and scored the most famous goal in our history.

Look back at all the big good moments in history (not the bad) be it political or scientific or whatever and imagine a world where the people in it had decided not to do it because they had never done it before and it was the first time.

That is how humans have evolved and developed. Because we have found out and discovered for ourselves whether or not we can do it by doing it anyway despite it being the first time.

I am still open to driving. But at the moment I can see a lot of benefits to taking the coach.

This is right up there with Churchill's "We will fight them on the beaches" or Elizabeth's "I know I have the body of a weak, feeble woman" speeches.

Rousing stuff!

Can't decide. Don't laugh but as a child if I had a choice to make I got this dice which is one of my most cherished possessions. It is small but is sky blue and white in colour and has a marbled effect to it. I play a game. The rules are thus:..

*Decision A is allocated numbers 1, 2 and 3.
*Decision B is allocated numbers 4, 5 and 6.
*I throw the dice three times in the air. What set of numbers lands on face side up the most time wins that "set".

(for example should it be 4, 4 and then 6 then Decision B wins the first "set" because numbers 4 and 6 remember I have allocated to Decision B and wins 3-0. At no time did any of the numbers 1, 2 or 3 occour.)

*I have two more "sets" and what decision wins the most sets is the one I go with.

Example:

Set 1: 4 - 4 - 6. Decision B wins 3-0. All numbers are numbers given to Decision B.
Set 2: 1 - 5 - 2. Decision A wins 2-1. One number is a number given to Decision A but two numbers are given to Decision B.
Set 3: 6 - 3 - 1: Decision A wins 2-1. Again one number is a Decision B number but two are numbers given to Decision A.

Decision A is what I go with. It wins 2-1. So should Decision A be the car I would drive down.

Can't decide if he is genius, weird, or clueless

All 3 marra.

f***ing hell mate :D:D

Drive down Saturday and stop the night, you’re getting the experience of driving it, and doing it safely.

I worked for 4 month at Wembley recently replacing the network, book sat night in watford prem inn, when you check out tell them you’re leaving the car for the day. Tube station is round the corner, an hour or so direct to wembley.

Tube back after match, and away you go.

Played that game and you will all be pleased to know I will be deffo going by coach.

I gave the car 1, 2 and 3. I gave the coach therefore numbers 4, 5 and 6.

The first 3 times I threw it in the air it landed on 4, 3 and 5. The coach won the first "set"

The second time I threw it in the air it landed on 6 ever time. The coach won the second "set"

The third time I threw it in the air it landed on 1, 2 and 5 so the car won the third "set".

But it didn't matter. The coach won on set's 2-1.

So I will be travelling down by coach people.

Sorry mate. I played the game. I made my decision and I must to stick by it. I feel compelled to. I feel it is the safer and better option anyway. I just hope I don't get a coach that is parked in the middle of the pack like loads were in 2014. I was lucky. The coach I was on was on the outside of the pack of coaches parked up.

I feel I have let myself down and somewhat disappointed myself. Driving to Wembley is something I have worked toward doing for 5 years and never actually thought I would do so soon. But the forum and the dice spoke.

Dont take drugs kids

Drugs? Who said anyone is taking drugs? Me? I was perfectly clear in my decision making process and swore to abide by it.

Drive, stay the night and reduce the risk by 90%. I've done it before and the last 2 hours were very difficult.
I’m staying over as last time it was a nightmare for the last couple of hours driving and no one in the car to share the load. But me mate did talk to me as he new it was getting difficult. The first two hours coming out of Watford was much more busier than I was expecting - I know there was a big fiorball match near by ;-) - as it was a Sunday evening. Wall to wall cars.

I’m disappointed in you SBC, drive, stay Watford. Easy peasy, and safe, canny little bar in the Prem for Sat night, or get tube into London.

Ah only rooms in Watford central now
