Seems like a lot of people on here know every facet of why he went over but from what I can find he never really went in to a lot of detail

We know he was on around £700kpw, tax free.
We know he talked about signing for his good friend, Stevie G.
We know he talked about wanting to accelerate the “exciting new Saudi sporting project”.
We know Klopp would have kept him at Liverpool on his £200kpw wage, but couldn’t guarantee as much playing time.

We also know he didn’t mention anything to do with culture or regime change until he started getting pelters when playing for England.

Work with a Dutch lad and he reckons the fans are complaining that he only passes sideways and backwards. They’re disappointed so far.
Not sure if they’d ever actually watched him play before.
