It wouldn't surprise me one bitYou may.
I'd be slightly surprised, he won't get in their side anytime soon. You may.
They wanted shot of him but he wouldn't accept personal terms. The underlying factor is the club wanted rid of himSunderland forced him to go.
'Forced'
Why ? And then why did we pull out of the deal, If we were forcing him down there ?
Assume we had accepted an offer to force him to go

They thought 10m + is a good price, guessing they not totally convinced by himLooks a great talent but as it stands he's not a guaranteed first team. Providing we get good money for him, it's to be expected.
It's frustrating that a club like Brighton have managed to leap frog us in such a fashion that they're taking our talented youth players whilst challenging near the top of the PL, whilst we struggle against teams like Plymouth, Preston and Coventry.
Why?
If onlyDecent deal for someone that has hardly played 1st team competitive matches.
He's alright. Direct, not great at heading, quite weak and lacks positional awareness IMO
Reinvest money on a couple of good players
I cant see that happening personally, think Manchester UTD is his next stop. You may.
If he’s the one we have to lose then I’d take it all day long. £15m. Snap their hands off…I have it on good authority that it’s deal done him heading to Brighton in the summer
I find that sad news
Doubt it.Jobe will be done job too
£50m to spend on a new recruits
Watson, rigg and jobe. Perhaps this also explains why Patto has checked out mentallyThere's alot more who are playing like they've got deals sorted for the summer at the minute. Won't even put a foot in when a 50/50 comes up
Be canny for the 4 games he plays at the start of next season before he's out for the rest.Already got his replacement in Poveda![]()
We have to be realistic - any promotion is likely to end in relegation with parachute payments to go againTin hat on, I dread promotion with what will be left of this squad, ownership, management and any knock-off old Premiership players we reluctantly shell out for. We'll be routinely pulverised and might even beat Derby's low points total. Rather the enjoyment of the Championship for me, with the possibility of a win before every match, than to be the Premiership whipping boys.
There, I've said it.
Seems really bizarre that mate. They wanted shot of him but he wouldn't accept personal terms. The underlying factor is the club wanted rid of him
Same. Couldn’t care lessCan’t lie I’d not bat an eye lid - unreal if we can get 12m
