To Catch a Copper Channel 4

I would say have you got any actual evidence that it is (since you brought it up). And evidence not just anecdotal stories (all forces as you suggested)

I've just given you evidence. Being branded institutionally racist by the Home Office isn't enough evidence? What more evidence do you want, a copper to teabag ya?

Just naming some forces 🤣 🤣 Ah well thats that ticked off then and then extrapolate it up to a national level.

I guess using this logic then all GP's are will stealing murderers. Shipman did it so that means they are all the same.
And Police corruption destroys lives and leads to death, other than the DWP I cant think of another that does..
If corruption is wrong then it is wrong for everyone. It will be going on in virtually every private and public sector organisation.

Agreed, how many of those pretend not to be though or say it's a small minority, the Police are supposed to be held to be a better standard than most, they are supposed to be trusted innstitution. They arn't anymore.

They are held to the same standard as everyone else from a legal point of view. I would imagine their misconduct regulations are a bit more stringent than your average HR policy in other places.

I would imagine most places will bury their heads and pretend it doesn't happen to avoid dealing with it. Some examples are volunteers in sports clubs. People will be taking whatever they can and because they volunteer to do things the clubs dont want them to leave. I know one of a bloke who "bought the fuel" for grass cutting equipment. He was trousering a tank of fuel along with the fuel for the mowers and nothing happened to him. Did too much

The bus didn’t have a sign saying card payments only and you’re able to pay with cash on TFL buses.
It's not London it's Bristol. No idea what First bus is like there but up here (Glasgow) you can use cash but they don't give change. To me she should have got off when her card was declined and got change from a shop then got the next bus or if she was really going to be late just take the hit, you can't expect to travel for free.

Also on the last one I was shocked the revenge porn guy didn't resign before his hearing like most of them do when they know its going to go against them. I assume if they resign they get to keep their pension. If you are sacked I assume you lose it? Could be totally wrong like.

I knew I’d heard her say she had cash but the driver said there was no change. Dunno where I got TFL from😂😂

Got an example ?

An example of NHS corruption? How about Letby and Shipman to rhyme off to wronguns.
Then numerous reports of nurses etc stealing medication, and then the ones that dont make papers and sometimes posted or nurses council website. They're all absolute wronguns

Resign, keep your pension. Sack, lose all .So resign,no stain on character,go get new job .No problem.

Or Saville.

What about politicians? Blair was responsible for a huge amount of deaths .

What people fail to take into account is that police officers are just people and people have flaws . When a police officer commits a crime , it’s highlighted and reported like virtually no other form of employment other than maybe a politician .
The police are also held to account , quite rightly , like no other form of employment and are subjected to so many more circumstances or situations where if they are that way inclined , could easily fall into criminality or disciplinary behaviour .

A lad in my year at school became a copper. Needless to say he was a right bellend.
Always wonder on people's motives for joining the police. Some clearly love the power and control, saying goes those that want power are the last one that should have it. Not sure how you realistically recruit police officers without that though.

Although I can't find anything to say if you resign before you're sacked you get to keep your pension, it does look like you do.

Basically I think you have to really have to do something very bad to warrant losing your pension. In most cases it looks like they're happy if you just sod off with the minimum of fuss.

Looks like the police pension is about 2/3 of your final wage which starts at 60.
