hard to be a real supporter living in australia

but I don't allow them to fuck up my weekend every week anymore (trying to stream or listening in on radio Newcastle etc)

certainly won't be coming over for my two games a season like the last five or six years

just like attending public hangings in the dark ages, can't really get my head around the entertainment factor

for those still going is it mostly younger lads out on the piss for a day and reluctant season ticket holders?

I went for a piss after about an hour. I heard ironic cheers.

Came back to my seat, 2nd comical goal went in and I was out of the door.

I didn't realise we'd had a player sent off until I got in Vesta Tilley's :)

We were never getting anything out of that game once the first goal went in. We were a long way 2nd best to a very ordinary Preston team of no marks.

I'm 51 but have a few beers with the lads. Turned out just before 2, got picked up at 7. 3 before the game, 6 after.

It could mate but I know what you’re saying. On the other hand having ant n dec inflicted on you after what has happened today, it’s understandable why you are having dark thoughts.
Thank god its over but now the voice is on. I just need a cuddle off a fellow fan. Meanwhile our lass is like proper enjoying the voice. Someone please kill me now ffs

Left after 2nd goal, but at least made a half hearted attempt to endure the dross

Joke is if we get to Checkatrade Final next season I'll be too embarrassed to go

Unlike 20,000 non attendees who will suddenly re appear

I stayed till the end as well , was going to go over for more beers after the match but after that “performance” I wasnt in the mood so just went home. Stood at Newcastle Central for 35 mins in the freezing cold because the Edinburgh train was 25 mins late. Back to Berwick 7.35 and I’m still not bloody warm. Another great use of 80 Great British pounds sterling today. I bet I’m still at the Shef Wed game though.

Loads of younguns becoming battle hardened very quickly and lads like me who thought they had seen it all but clearly we hadn’t.....

Just when you think that safc can’t surprise you any more......

I've had a soak in a hot bath and I'm still frozen.
It was bitterly cold like.

Stayed, I'm not going to give in just yet... totally understand those who have had enough!

Only satisfaction I got was letting Kone, Catts & O'shea know how I feel about them stinking the place out when they got an odd touch of the ball.

Hate the majority of the players & what Short has done, but I refuse to let them take away what generations of Sunderland supporters have done before me & turn out to back our club.

I can only hope that things begin to turn & Short goes quickly taking is cronies with him.

I left on 80mins. Earliest I have left for a long long time. It was dead today. Desperate times. :(
I left after Clarke-Salter got himself sent off. Just Foff back to Chelsea, useless kernt. Earliest I've left ever, but I was cold, frustrated and angry.

I was on a flight to Dubai enroute to Brisbane got off the plane expecting to see that I had missed a Sunderland win,

Then I checked in here

We left with just under 10 minutes left.
It's like watching history being made in front of us; the worst team in the entire history of Sunderland AFC.
Having said, that we've sorted out season tickets for 2018/19.

I left at the 85th minute, that’s the point the cold had me beaten. Actually had trouble walking down the steps, just couldn’t get my legs to work. I was crippled walking through the car park to the bus, the soles of my feet were stinging with the cold.
