Well, it was an idiotic comparison to draw. However, the professional and viral persecution of public figures for daring to hold a different view to the right-on, woke liberals needs to stop like. You can see where she's coming from, as heavy handed and badly put as it was.

I remember a time when actors etc didn't tell anyone their political views.
A simpler time...

You could probably see where she was coming from better, even have a bit of sympathy for her, if she didn't compare being a republican to being a victim the biggest systematic genocide of the 20th century.
I suspect there were a lot of republicans who found that comment to be massively distasteful.

I honestly believe it is. Brexit in particular has been so unnecessarily divisive. It's brought out the worst in some people. I could have gone my whole life happily not knowing how some people voted or would have voted.
