The Hundred 2023

T v audiences. Test cricket the ashes 17 million.

Hundred so far 6 million.

T20 150, 000

County cricket 23000.

One day cup 14000.

So yes hundred will smash the ashes for viewers.

Figures from sky and YouTube as of Friday.

Is that cumulative average per day or something? One day cup hasn’t been on Tv this year either?

Every time I switch on I think ‘this is shite’ but there’s been some great matches this week when I’ve stuck with it to the finish.

The Hundred needs to forget about big overseas stars though - never gonna happen at £125k.

I haven't watched any Hundred this season until the last half hour or so.

Having the meerkats on the outfield akes all the difference and gives it a real touch of class; it sets the crisps sponsorships off nicely.

In my opinion the Hundred remains absolute crap. I wouldn't object to it if it weren't for the almost undoubted damage it is doing. Leaving Durham aside, how would I feel if I were a Somerset member and heard the commentator today refer to "the Somerset pair"... who aren't playing in the 50 over cup.

Still, if it's making money for the Hundred teams' County ground landlords and for the ECB, it must be ok.

You haven’t shown me much respect…

Practice what you preach.
I actually respect your view as a cricket fan believe it or not, you have to be blind not to see you knowledgeable about cricket and loyal fan of your chosen club, totally get that and your passion for cricket (although you are genuinely imo negative and pessimistic for your chosen side especially England ;))

I respect different views on the hundred of course it should be more widespread and should be 20 overs imo and don’t like the graphics or hundred balls, but see why they have done it to attract new fans.

It is clear the majority of traditional fans are against the hundred and although I don’t totally share that view totally respect it.

The hundred is not what I agree with but I do strongly agree with a short format competition in peak time to bring more into the game.

But sorry have to be genuine and honest don’t respect laughing when games of and paying fans missing out or telling people who go to watch they chosen game they traitors.

I really wish we had a Northeast team in this. I really struggle to get into a sport if I don't really care who wins.

"Northern Superchargers" playing in Leeds has no meaning for me.

Otherwise its a really good game.
