Fans are starting to sing it at Sunderland games, as a nod to their Sunderland supporting grandfathers who were fighter pilots and ground troops operating the flak guns during the war.

The mags sing about a make believe encounter between us and them when we supposedly ran away on New Years day, which New Years day...no one knows. Were the people there who were singing it? Not likely. But they sing it almost on a weekly basis.
Funnily enough other clubs sing about their rivals running away on New Years day...people must have been legging all over the country that day.

What a load of bullshit. It was good against evil and the press are ok to bring four page commemorative inserts out about various commemorative services here, there and everywhere still making money out of the wars. The veterans would love it especially the ones that got killed not knowing the outcome of WW2

Ten Germans Bombers is sang mostly in jest but in my opinion that jest can go on for a thousand years.

We'll not be able to mention the wars at all next.

I like it in the respect that it's normally the ones who sing such songs whilst standing with out stretched arms who are the ones that get a good kicking when the big lads turn up.
 
Can't see a problem with it. Germany were responsible for the death of people's relatives. Plenty of people still alive who had the army coming to the door to tell them their dads weren't coming home.
