Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

The leaked info is embarrassment and how’s how amateur we are as a club. Few year ago nothing got let out, but the club still haven’t learnt their lesson and are still giving fanzines snippets. It’s like Chinese whispers.

The Poyet fiasco yesterday says everything you need to know.

We are lost as a club, and the last piece of hope we had for this club will leave even the most die hard when there’s an underwhelming appointment- that now looks inevitable.

It’s shocking really. It makes them look literally like a bunch of wannabes who have some money and thought they’d buy a football club for a laugh.

Shows all these ITKs know absolutely nothing.

Not a dig at those who have shared their ‘info’ mind but this shows there’s no such thing.

Takeover or new manager craic.

we are all as clueless as each other

Aren't you one of the people getting the leaks?

If history repeats and we get another League Juan puppet then Del boy and Rodders will be pulling the strings and clearly are thick as Fook......notwithstanding the private educashun.....

Starting to have real doubts about the nature of this takeover ... and its capacity to affect real change. I've pinned a lot of hope that new blood may bring new ideas and a coherent strategy. But some of the things we've seen this week are not reassuring... if anything it implies that we are making the same small time mistakes that are condemning the club

I've still hope that ultimately it will prove to be a good thing but right now that faith is depleting fast

Poyet was done but the DoF blew it. It was never about £ for him, it was a chance to reunite the fanbase and to make a statement.

Love to know who told the world Poyet had literally signed a contract

I think far less leaks out the club these days. How long did KLD’s name take to be in the public domain? Not even a hint towards him despite him being in talks for some time.

Even on a micro level I think of how many signings we’ve had where there’s been no hint of it until the day they sign. That’s in part because there’s less interest, less media sniffing around etc since the Prem days but to me, with the exception of the Dell fiasco and yesterday, where no one seems to know what happened yet, I’ve found it notably tighter.

Again, the manager isn't the most important appointment. Neither is whether the fanbase thinks the manager appointment is an underwhelming one. Some of the reactions to missing out on a manager who, let's be honest, was as likely to throw a hissy fit over some minor thing and shit on the boardroom floor as he was to get us promoted is fairly astonishing tbh. Don't get me wrong, I can completely understand it given the fanbase is shellshocked by the most dispiriting 2.5 years in our history. But let's just gain some perspective. Donald out and KLD in is undoubtedly a good thing. A sporting director appointed is undoubtedly a good thing. If the the fans are viewing the appointment of Danny Cowley or Lee Johnson as the straw that breaks the camels back, I'm sorry but they need to catch themselves the fuck on.

That’s the thing though mate, it was never ‘all done’, it may have been ‘close’ or ‘in talks’

As others have alluded to, that is was all done being leaked very very amateurish
