Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

Sick as fuck with it all and honestly bored with the whole circus now.

It's just more smoke and mirrors, miss-information and rumour being leaked from someone at the club around the "takeover" and who will actually be calling the shots.

This then fuels more bullshit from supposed ITKs on social media and jornos looking for clicks.

Meanwhile the club continues to fall further behind and the possibility of another season in this shite league grows.

No one seems to be putting the pressure on the club and asking the right questions around what direction we are actually going in here.
This. It’s become a disgrace

Again, pretty much my thoughts and feelings mate. Even felt a touch disappointed when the government announced fans would be allowed back in tier 2 in small numbers!

The club are doing a very impressive job of avoiding scrutiny with this supposed takeover carry on. Gave them an excuse to dodge the supporters meeting. And the press seem to have sacked the job off!

Suppose we as a support need to see what happens over the next couple of weeks. I think the likes of rawa (who are aiming to turn into a trust) should then see if through that and support of local businessmen they cam acquire methven's stake for example.

Nah I’m sorry, I’m back in the “no takeover” camp now. It’s like the RR announcement was something they had “leaked” to them given RAWA pushing the club for an update. Keeps them quiet again for another 3 weeks before they can think of some shit to come up with and another dosser they can appoint as manager.

Let's be honest, we'll be in the same position regarding the ownership come the end of January, with a big announcement "days" or "weeks" away.

The latest incompetent in the dug out will be struggling for wins as we labor to a 6th place finish at best.

If you finish 6th you get a ticket for the lottery that they call the playoffs.

Course we will. Still playing dossers like Wyke while happy clappers on here will bang on about that we’ll get promoted before the inevitable collapse that sees us drop near mid table and people start calling for the managers head again.

This whole takeover has been used as a PR exercise for months to divert attention from CM and SD and the warranted stick they were getting. At best it’s a dilution of their shareholding and not a takeover, although I’m sure that’s how they will try to spin it. A bit like when the loan from the Dell lot was span as investment. It will be described as a loan if/when the “takeover” goes through just you watch.

I don’t think he had a choice. He was holding few aces in the negotiation. He is desperate for the cash injection otherwise he risks losing the lot.

I am willing to bet the investors have not had to pay a lot for their equity share too.

I's guess at £10-15m for most of Donald's shares in Madrox, plus taking on Madrox's commitments to FPP and the club.

Lets be honest, unless Donald and Methven go, any new folk are going to have big problems from the off. There is too much distrust and bad blood around these 2 already.

Just looking at the Cookie example, there is media ,ex pros, fans, current club staff all slacking of the handling by the current regime.

Poyet wanting the job then not wanting the job sounds far too coincidental, that its not linked to these 2 clowns.

To be fair I wanted poyet would have brought a style back and an identity

Now? No idea where we go, I would prefer a non British manager...yourself?

I honestly have no idea almost apathetic except when I watch the matches and I’m swearing ranting raving and crying in equal measure. I would just like to know that it’s not the clowns who are making this appointment I’d be much happier with whoever it is if that is the case. Surely the new people will not be appointing any of the lot mentioned so far... surely not

Which is a shockingly low number isn’t it?

It is conceivably slightly less if Donald has had to devalue the stock to find a buyer.

The price basis will be the amount that Donald has put into Madrox, rather than an intrinsic business valuation of Sunderland as a football club, as that is his personal breakeven point. At July 2019 (the last available data), that was just under £12m.

Time for them to grow some balls, fast approaching a month since Donald et al deflected attention from themselves and this fiasco is now looking all too similar
All indications are that we are still in the smart price aisle... so just what is the ambition for the club for the remainder of the season and next ?

It’s quite simple I think - if it’s a Cowley type then the new guys won’t have picked the manager - and what that means for the takeover who knows

I have been assured by some on here that it’s not rodwell picking the manager

If Rodwell ain’t picking then who is? The “new owners” (ha) won’t have heard of Cowley before Rodwell said he’s a neighbour who puts he’s bins out for him.
