*~*~* Sunderland v Watford match thread *~*~*

I was talking about Burstow. Ba was tremendous all game. Burstow improved slightly second half but look a long way off being ready. That may be his fourth game and he hasn't looked like scoring at all. Hemir has looked more likely in the minutes he's had.
Doubt Burstow will start on Saturday, I think Mowbray will rest him

Personally I thoroughly enjoyed it the match...2 goals..another clean sheet..3 points....what's not to like?
Did everything right. Scored twice, dictated the game, clean sheet.
People moan about our home form, the lads win 2-nowt at home, and some still moaning about set ups, Moggas tactics, not subbing people, and then twisting about that pile of shite up the road???

2-nowt at home. 4th in the league, great goal difference, commanding performance, entertaining football.

What more do people want man ffs?

Piss off with that shite man. We've beaten a place best known for it's gap in the Championship, and then we come out the ground to hear they're 3-1 up v PSG. It deflated everyone. You probably weren't even there tonight.
Deflated everyone, fuck off man

How can SAFC winning deflate everyone?

Congratulations again for outing yourself, captain mag

Thought we were lethargic tonight Al, didn't see much fantastic stuff.
So you didn't see us break down a side that had clearly come for a draw?

You didn't see a full back score a fantastic goal?

You didn't see a young, enthusiastic team playing controlled one touch football?

You didn't see them manage the game carefully to ensure a clean sheet?

You didn't see a perfectly executed, professional 2-0 victory with each and every player executing their roles and giving 40,000 people the comfortable home win they were thought to be incapable of?

You missed all of that then marra?

No, I didn't. A side that came for a draw, that had more shots than us. Sorry just because we win doesn't have to mean we played well.

Sorry mate. You can't beat Dick's run from the half way line and dink over the keeper against, I think, Portsmouth.
Talked to Dick in the Montgomery Suite on 15/4 about his goals. He said he used to score from outside the box regularly up in Scotland but was told when he came to us “we don’t want any of that here … lay it off and let the top players hit the back of the net”. 😳
