Coventry Building Society 4.4% 1 year fixed

Coventry Building Society 4.4% 1 year fixed, sounds safer than P2P to me?

It's actually 14.5 months Coventry are offering & loanpad going upto 4.8%

Of course the building society is safer but its locked away for ages.

Great too have a bit tucked away,
but no better feeling then spending big on something you and your family want, time spent together enjoying far beats any savings account balance life is too short.
best advice I ever got was make sure you enjoy as your only get one chance and you can’t take it with you.

You seem to be angry. Calm down man it's just a post on a message board not a meeting of the IMF.

Oh and you have no idea where my investments are placed or their value or how they are currently doing.

Right, off to check my penny jar to see how I am doing today
Haha. I’m not angry Jeff. I just don’t want people to be encouraged not to take risk by people who are unqualified to provide that advice to them.
Wise words apart from “ a little slide downwards” , it’s more than a little slide if the truth be known.
Yes mate but we’ve seen worse and very recently.

There are loads of great quotes about risk - often written by management consultants who prefer talking about risks rather than taking them.

Yes there are rewards for taking risks but there is also a great deal of pain around risks that went wrong.

Nowt wrong with safe and steady.

Yes there is Jeff. Yes there is!

As an aside your entire rhetoric is fundamentally flawed because the vast majority of people who took advice would not be experiencing the pain you talk of. Only those that didn’t would.

Just a question, I'm looking to transfer money from one account into a s&s isa soon, is it worth doing now or waiting until after Thursdays budget?
