I would be hugely underwhelmed if McLaren is chosen, everything he touches turns to shit

If he’s so committed to a challenge, would he want to leave Austin quite yet? They don’t even enter the MLS until next year.
More thinking in that than SD has done for SAFC during his tenure: an outside the box contender but Austin to Sunderland in November would be a big ask!!
That’s a cracking shout. He can bring his son if he likes....
i'd play him ahead of power and dobson for a start
L'Equipe saying it's down to 4 candidates to get the role as sporting director at the club. New people have been interviewing and the new sporting director will be English or Scandanavian. My guess is Steve Mclaren will rock up here.
Allardyce still wants to manage.Hope not... Big Sam, with SKP head coach
England?Allardyce still wants to manage.
Obviously not.England?
I'd be surprised if he came into the picture but you never know.. If there is an agency looking around Europe for the new owner it will throw up quite a few names I'd have thought with new ideas etc...I would be hugely underwhelmed if McLaren is chosen, everything he touches turns to shit
Aye that spell with Ferguson was shit.I would be hugely underwhelmed if McLaren is chosen, everything he touches turns to shit
..and league cup with Boro and European final.Aye that spell with Ferguson was shit.

Does every manager succeed at every club? Anyway, this is not about the managerial role if you haven't noticed mate.Aye Apolgies yer reet, I mean football hasn’t moved on one little bit in the 20 years since he left
He was mint at England and the Mags so you may have a point![]()
Well he was still in his prime. Southampton had finished 5tn and 2nd the previous two seasons it was considered a major coup.Marwood feels like a McMenemy repeat to me. Old stager coming back for one last payday before retirement. Would far rather have someone who’s nearer the start of their career than the end.

Wash your mouth out! It's Joe Kinnear!L'Equipe saying it's down to 4 candidates to get the role as sporting director at the club. New people have been interviewing and the new sporting director will be English or Scandanavian. My guess is Steve Mclaren will rock up here.
It sounds bizarre but I'd vote for that! Love Zlatan, me!Zlatan. Player/Sporting Director
Seriously though it would be interesting to know the job description. Is it a support and youth development kinda role or a 100% total control he’s your players Head Coach now coach then kinda deal.
I haven’t heard anything about such a role which would surprise me if a number of the candidates were English or based in England. These things have a habit of getting about.
Sounds very positive and proactive if they are at the recruitment stage when the takeover is at least a fortnight away supposedly.
They know f allChronicle saying Jim Rodwell keeping his role and sporting director will work above him![]()
